In EA FC 24 a new penalty bug is making the rounds. The bug gives shooters an excessively high success rate. We clarify the new issue and show you how you can still save a glitch penalty or two.
What’s it about? From our own experience and based on various posts on social media, we can confirm that there is a new penalty bug in the game that prompts players to use it as an unfair means against their opponents.
Meanwhile, several videos are circulating on TikTok and X (formerly Twitter) showcasing this new glitch:
All videos show how the shooter converts a penalty with a lofted shot, a so-called Panenka. The ball rolls slowly under the goalkeeper’s body into the goal, while the goalkeeper can only jump over the ball in his animation.
Weeks ago, we reported on another penalty bug. At that time, the shooter’s execution was severely affected by a display bug.
Potential Solution for the Penalty Bug: Move Your Goalkeeper
This is how you could save the bugged penalties: As you could see, a goal can only be prevented by merely jumping in a certain direction. However, you can position yourself before the execution so that you can reach the ball either without jumping or by jumping from a changed position.
- For this, move your goalkeeper back and forth on the line with the left analog stick.
- Choose a side as soon as the shooter approaches and move the goalkeeper as far as possible into the corner you selected.
Since the bug penalty is shot quite poorly, the goalkeeper should be able to save the ball.
Unfortunately, we still lack the experience to know whether this approach is truly effective. As soon as we know more, or EA has removed this error with a patch, you will find out here.
We would like to remind you again that we are against bugs and glitches that give players an unfair advantage.
If you have had similar experiences or even have solutions ready, please let us know in the comments. With the new card from Erling Haaland you can also shoot strong penalties without a bug. Furthermore, he brings other advantages as well.
