Pros and Cons of the MG-X Controller
What are the features? The MG-X is a Microsoft-authorized Xbox controller, designed to resemble regular devices of this type in terms of haptics. So if you usually play on an Xbox controller, you will quickly grasp the controls here as well.
Additionally, no physical connection between the controller and the phone is needed. The connection is made via Bluetooth. Therefore, all phones up to 6.7 inches in size fit into the controller, and you can still use a protective case as long as it doesn’t make the phone too big.
The device itself weighs 206 grams and has folded dimensions of 1.2 x 7.36 x 3.62 cm. So it fits comfortably in any pocket, making it ideal for playing your favorite games from the Game Pass on the go.
What’s not so great? As convenient as the Bluetooth connection is for dealing with bulky phones in the case, this type of connection has its problems. The connection can suffer from lags, which can be an issue during fast-paced games.
Moreover, the controller requires its own battery, which, according to the manufacturer, should last 20 hours. It charges with a USB-C cable.
