Xbox Game Pass is aimed at PC and Xbox players
What is the Xbox Game Pass? The Xbox Game Pass from Microsoft is aimed at all players of the Xbox and PC. You can subscribe monthly to access over 200 games and play them at no additional cost. Some refer to it as the “Netflix for gamers.”
How much does the Xbox Game Pass cost? In principle, the Xbox Game Pass can be purchased for both PC and Xbox. It costs 9.99 € each. You can also purchase both accesses plus Xbox Live Gold, for which you will then pay 12.99 € monthly.
What is the advantage? With the Game Pass, you can play numerous games without additional costs. This includes not only classics but also new titles, and several first-party games.
Thanks to the purchase of Bethesda by Microsoft, more games have been added. For example, games like Elder Scrolls Online or Fallout 76 are free for “Xbox Game Pass” owners on Xbox or via cloud on smartphones.
What is the disadvantage? As a PC player, you cannot play all titles from the Game Pass for free. Some titles are only available on Xbox Series X|S or the Xbox One.
Additionally, Xbox Cloud Gaming is currently still unavailable for PC players. Microsoft’s cloud service is expected to officially reach PCs in Fall 2021.
Another disadvantage is that Microsoft regularly swaps titles in the library. Therefore, not all games are always available.
