2017 offered a wealth of expansions, addons, updates, and DLCs that both fans of established and new games could enjoy. To find out which was the best MMO expansion or the coolest DLC of 2017, we asked you. Over 1,000 participants cast their votes.
They could choose from 15 titles. One of them prevailed and was voted by you to take first place!
1st Place: The Elder Scrolls Online Morrowind
With 20% of all votes, the Mein-MMO-Award for “best expansion / best DLC” goes to Morrowind, the new chapter of The Elder Scrolls Online.

Morrowind deserves it: It brought numerous new quests, the Warden class, the raid “Hall of Fabrication” and new battlegrounds. The story was also deepened, giving the game more substance. Story enthusiasts and explorers found ample enjoyment with the new chapter.

Overall, The Elder Scrolls Online ranks highly among you: It also managed to gain some votes in the MMO of the year election. The next DLCs and a new expansion are already planned for 2018.

2nd Place: Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood

3rd Place: Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire
With Path of Fire, Guild Wars 2 went deeper into the desert again. Finally, mounts were introduced – a feature that many players had long wished for.
Guild Wars has not completely changed through the expansion but has grown. You liked that: 14% voted for this title and granted it a solid 3rd place!
