Today, June 15, maintenance works are taking place in Diablo 4. MeinMMO reveals when there might be connectivity issues and a possible server down.
Update, 12:00 PM: Meanwhile, at least on PS5, there are reports of extended maintenance until 2:00 PM.
When is the maintenance? As Blizzard informs in the login screen of Diablo 4, maintenance works are scheduled today. They will last:
- from 12 AM PDT, which is 9:00 AM German time
- until 5 PM PDT, which is 2:00 PM German time, on Thursday, June 15
However, there are various reports. These times apply to the display on the PS5, while in threads on Reddit, it is mentioned that the time is 2 AM PDT, which is 11:00 AM German time. On PC, no times are displayed at all. Elsewhere, it is suggested that maintenance has already occurred or is still pending. We will keep you updated.
Can I play during this time? Yes, the servers are not officially going down. However, there may be connectivity issues, lags, and disconnects, as they say. Therefore, you better not play a hardcore character during this time, otherwise you risk losing it.
Are there patch notes? Officially, this is only maintenance work, not a patch. Therefore, we cannot yet say if anything will change. However, if Blizzard makes any adjustments, you will of course find out here on MeinMMO.
In the last patch on June 14, Blizzard adjusted all dungeons in Diablo 4 and nerfed some of the most popular XP farming routes.
Make use of the time to search a few basements – it is worth it:

Some players discover the display of the maintenance works for the first time and thank for it. Being suddenly thrown out of the game because one has overlooked the info probably affected at least a few players.
Although the display has been in the game since the release of Diablo 4, players now wish for a short warning directly in the game chat, about 15 minutes before the works begin. A similar approach is taken by World of Warcraft.
Patches in Diablo 4 are often only applied server-side, so that no one has to interrupt their game. This has already received great praise and means that you rarely have to interrupt your gameplay.
