After the Campfire Chat about the midseason update, the developers of Diablo 4 are now releasing the patch notes for patch 1.3.3, which comes on March 5. You can find the full patch notes here on MeinMMO.
Highlights at a glance:
- Patch 1.3.3 arrives in Diablo 4 on Tuesday, March 5 – the developers discussed the updates in the previous “Campfire Chat” livestream.
- With the update, the leaderboards will be introduced in the game, which had several release dates beforehand, but were postponed.
- Additionally, six vampire skills from Season 2 are returning, including “Metamorphosis,” which was described as a fan favorite during the stream.
- The patch will buff all classes, but the seneschal companion will be nerfed, after being buffed with a previous patch.
A feature coming with patch 1.3.3 in Diablo 4, is the leaderboard. Here you can face a new challenge every week: a fixed dungeon, the “Gauntlet,” where you fight for the most powerful loot and a spot on the leaderboard.
This is mainly about strategy and speed. The key in the Gauntlet is how many monsters you kill and how many chests you can open within the 8-minute time limit. The feature starts on March 5.
Patch 1.3.3 buffs all classes but nerfs the seneschal
What does this mean for the classes? With patch 1.3.3, all classes in Diablo 4 will be buffed. This affects class skills, but also the minions of the necromancer and the companions of the druids.
This could make minion builds more interesting for some players. Despite the excitement, many players hope for further buffs for the minions, so that the Summoner-Necro feels useful.
What does this mean for the seneschal? The seneschal companion had a rough start in Season 3 of Diablo 4. Thanks to the buffs, however, many players found him quite useful. An expert showed how he can deal billions of damage with his seneschal.
With the patch, the seneschal companion, which is the main feature in Season 3, will be nerfed. The developers stated the following in the blog post:
We want the seneschal to feel strong, but some skills are simply too strong. Additionally, some unintended interactions will be addressed.
What else does the patch bring? Furthermore, the cost to craft Uber Uniques will be reduced from 5 “exquisite sparks” to 4 sparks. Players had their doubts about the new system, as they first need to find Uber Uniques for crafting to then break them down for the sparks.
In addition to the highlights, there will be several bug fixes, balance adjustments, and tweaks to player profiles. The playtime of the current character will approximately be displayed at the bottom of the profile.
Patch 1.3.3 – Complete Patch Notes
In the patch notes, the developers refer to the vampiric powers returning from the “Season of Blood.” They will have certain changes, “adjusting their power level to the season of constructs.” They are available at all world tiers, on eternal and seasonal realms.
How to specifically acquire the vampiric powers, you can find out here:

What impact the changes will have for builds remains to be seen. It is especially exciting to see if more players will play a minion build of the necromancer, or try out other classes and builds.
