How to summon Lord Zir: You can find Zir starting from torment level 1 in the hideout “Seat of the Ancient” in the “Darkened Path”, east of Kyovashad. To summon hideout bosses, you no longer need special materials since Season 8. You can simply enter his dungeon and summon him at the altar.
Where do I get “Exquisite Blood”? After defeating Lord Zir, a chest spawns, which you open with Exquisite Blood to obtain his loot. The materials you need for the bosses now drop in almost all activities. Depending on which content you prefer, you essentially farm the bottles quite “on the side”.
You can get the blood bottles, among other places, as a drop:
- from enemies and chests in the Hell Flood

Therefore, Zir’s level depends on your difficulty level, as does that of the enemies you encounter in the “Darkened Path” and in front of the “Seat of the Ancient”. You will primarily face Abominations and Skeletons there.
Defeating Lord Zir: What you need to pay attention to
How do I fight Lord Zir? Prepare well for the fight against Zir and increase your fire resistance through your equipment and gems in your jewelry, the maximum value is 70%. Alternatively, you can equip yourself with the “Elixir of Fire Resistance”.
After you have gone through the “Darkened Path”, you reach the “Seat of the Ancient”, in the heart of which you summon Lord Zir. He crawls out from his hiding place with a loud rumble.
At first, Zir attacks you alone, later he spawns vampiric mobs. He flaps his wings and rains blood down on you, avoid both as much as possible. As soon as Zir takes a crab-like stance, he strikes at you with his claws. Make sure to move quickly behind him.
After a while, Zir teleports away from you and charges a powerful wing flap to knock you back. You will see a marking on the ground, which you should avoid. Depending on which build you are playing, you can utilize Zir’s mobs well to charge your damage.

What uniques does Lord Zir drop? At Zir, you have the chance to get class-specific uniques, but also ones that can be equipped by all classes:

- Barbarians: Ramaladni’s Opus, Eraser, Arreat’s Stance, Helm of the Ugly Bastard, Curse of Ahjad-Den
- Sorcerers: Esadora’s Overflowing Cameo, Shattered Winterglass, Sidhe Bindings, Okun’s Catalyst
- Druids: Meat Grinder, Wildheart Hunger, Mjolnir Ring, Ominous Crescent
- Hunters: Ashara’s Khanjar, Thief’s Kiss, Trickster’s Deceit, Assassin’s Path
- Necromancers: Cuirass of the Blood Crafter, Lidless Wall, Cruor’s Embrace, Kessim’s Legacy, Sanguivore, Zir’s Blade
- Spirit-Spawned: Hyacinth Wrap, Wushe Nak Pa, Band of the First Breath
What else does Lord Zir drop? Besides the uniques, you also receive “Sand-Singed Bindings” from Zir, which you need for the loot chest of Andariel. Note that each player must open a loot chest with the boss materials themselves. In addition, you will receive from Zir the cosmetic headgear “Diadem of the Ancients.”
