In time for Halloween, the “macabre feast” in Diablo 4 is starting soon. During the Halloween event, you can secure free skins – and the Butcher wants to play a game with you. The community has already come up with the wildest ideas.
What kind of event is this? The “macabre feast” is commencing soon in Diablo 4 and offers you limited-time cosmetic rewards. In addition, there are shrines in dungeons that may have a surprise effect. Also, a deadly enemy that especially new players fear plays a role.
When does the Halloween event take place? The Halloween event starts on October 29, 2024, at 6:00 PM and runs until November 5, 2024, at 7:00 PM. Thus, you have one week to grab the skins and play the event.
Halloween Event: All Rewards
How do I get the skins? On four days, you can collect skins in the Diablo 4 shop that visually match the “macabre feast.” Each day features a new skin. Until November 5 at 9:00 PM, you have the chance to collect all missed cosmetics.
The following skins will be available:
- Mount “Legion of the Hermit” on October 29
- Mount Trophy “Ichor Flame Torch” on October 30
- Mount Trophy “Vial of the Hermit” on October 31
- Mount Armor “Hermit’s Gear” on November 1
Halloween Event: “Trick or Cleaver”
What role does the Butcher play? According to Blizzard, the Butcher wants to play “Trick or Cleaver” with you during the Halloween event. In dungeons, you will find shrines during the event period that grant you a surprise effect. They can reward you with wealth – or ensure that your dungeon run goes up in smoke.
What this specifically means, we do not yet know. However, the community has already come up with the wildest ideas, which they are currently expressing in a post on Reddit:
- jcned: “Hopefully a cursed shrine with waves of Butchers, like 10-20 at once.”
- Funslinger: “How about a bunch of mini-Butchers, with a chance that they drop a pet version?”
- 150116_9th “Trick or Cleaver = Either the Butcher spawns or a treasure goblin, that’s the ‘surprise’.”
- Nutsnboldt “I really want a Butcher shrine with two possible outcomes: It spawns 3 Butchers. It transforms you into the Butcher for a few seconds, with a cool toolbar full of skills.”
Others write that you should just imagine that the Butcher spawns with a click on the shrine and kills the hardcore characters. JoviAMP also comments: “A thousand hardcore players just threw their controllers away at the same time.”
For some, the Butcher has become a joke at higher levels. However, alongside new players, especially hardcore players still apparently fear the deadly enemy and prefer to run away. Because: in hardcore mode, a death is permanent – and the Butcher is for many the final boss.
