In the Hall of Atonement, Grigoire can be summoned – a boss in Diablo 4 that can drop certain Uniques. You can find out which items you can get from him and what materials you need to summon him at MeinMMO.
This is how you summon Grigoire: You can find Grigoire from Qual-Level 1 in the Hideout in the “Hall of Atonement” in the Dry Steppes, south of the waypoint “Ked Bardu”. To summon Hideout bosses, you no longer need special mats since Season 8. You can simply enter his dungeon and summon him at the altar.
Once you have defeated Grigoire, a chest spawns that you can open with 12 “Living Steel” to obtain his loot. You can get it from Whispering Tree chests and from chests in the Hell Flood.
What level is Grigoire? With Season 6, Blizzard abolished the often-criticized world tiers and integrated a new difficulty system. The monster levels then depend on the level you are playing on and will no longer be displayed. Therefore, Grigoire’s level depends on your difficulty level, as does that of the enemies that await you in the “Hall of Atonement.” There, you mainly encounter knights.

Which Uniques does Grigoire drop? With Grigoire, you have the chance to get class-specific Uniques, but also those that you can equip for all classes:
- all classes: Leggings of Regret, Cleaver of the Butcher
- Barbarians: Wrath of Harrogath, Battle Trance, Twin Strikes, Unbroken Chain
- Sorcerers: Staff of Lam Esen, Ice Heartbreak, Flame Weaver, Axial Connection, Greeting of Verglas
- Druids: Insatiable Rage, Zenith of the Hunter, Waxing Moon, Earthbreaker
- Hunters: Hakan’s Message, Shadow Touch, Seal of the Saboteur, Veil of Khanduras
- Necromancers: Cuirass of the Blood Artisan, Roar from the Depths, Leggings of the Void Tomb, Even Striker, Path of Trag’Oul
- Spiritborn: Protection of the Great, Emblem of the Peacemaker, Ring of the Midnight Sun, Cloak of Loyalty
In addition to the Uniques, you also receive “Shards of Torment,” which you need for the loot chest of Duriel. Additionally, you receive a cosmetic item for your mount from Grigoire.

Tips for the fight against Grigoire
Prepare yourselves for the fight against Grigoire and equip yourselves with potions that increase your lightning resistance. Grigoire strikes at you with his weapon – try to dodge the attacks. He spawns electrical poles that push you back. However, you can dodge through the lightning lines. Additionally, Grigoire attacks you with lightning on the ground and in the air.
After Grigoire has lost part of his life, he spawns knights to assist him. They appear in a ring and quickly approach you. It is best to use AoE attacks to take them out quickly while keeping an eye on the boss.
Always pay close attention to the ground, where circles and individual fields are marked with lightning. Avoid them and/or utilize abilities that harden you, make you immune, or grant you a shield.
