In Diablo 4 there are 6 extremely rare items: Three of these “Uber-Rares” have yet to be found by anyone, even though up to 3 million people log into Blizzard’s hack’n slay every day.
Which 3 items are still missing? Blizzard has introduced 6 items that, while rare in Diablo 4, actually exist. They are “ultra-rare, unique items.” 3 of these 6 have been found in Diablo 4 so far, most recently the two-handed sword “Grandfather“. However, 3 have not yet been found, at least as far as we know.
The items are:
- Doombringer – a sword that deals shadow damage and weakens nearby enemies on a lucky hit
- Ring of Starless Skies – a ring that reduces the resource costs of your core skills
- Melted Heart of Selig – an amulet that increases your resource maximum and protects your life by paying part of the damage as resource costs
Here are some tips for you on Diablo 4:
What makes this special: These items have not yet been found in the game after a month, even though Diablo 4 is a huge success and is played for millions of hours every day.
It is special that Diablo 4 plays with such “extremely rare items”. In other games, the highest quality items are also rare, but not this much.
This is a uniqueness of Diablo 4, reminiscent of early MMORPGs: there were some unique items in the German MMORPG Tibia that only a few players possessed or knew about. In modern MMORPGs like WoW, such a thing no longer exists.
Diablo 4 is a great success for Blizzard
How many people play Diablo 4 daily? We don’t know exact numbers, but from all we know, Diablo 4 is a success. Although the official release of Diablo was on June 6, the first players could play it as early as June 2.
According to an initial statement from Blizzard, players had completed 93 million hours just 4 days after the pre-launch. Blizzard said on June 6 that Diablo 4 had set the internal company record for the “fastest selling game of all time” (via businesswire).
The website “playerauctions.com” estimates, based on Google Trends analysis, that about 3 million people log into Diablo 4 every day. The number is relatively stable, fluctuating around 200,000 players per day. This number is an estimate.
What should be noted about the player count? If Blizzard ever announces the player count for Diablo 4, it will surely be in the high double-digit millions, as Blizzard counts the “monthly active users.” To count as an active user for this statistic, it is enough to log into the Diablo 4 launcher for any duration at least once a month. Whether you play daily and for how long is irrelevant for Blizzard’s internal metrics.
The items are also still so rare because while many people play Diablo 4, not everyone has reached the endgame yet; a “significant portion” of players is still stuck in the campaign.
So it seems to be only a matter of time until more people reach the endgame and then the 3 rare items will also be found.
