Today, update 1.15.0 for ARC Raiders has been released. Initially not included: a hotfix for an exploit that allowed players to rain countless grenades from the sky. However, the developers quickly responded to the community’s criticism.
What happened? Well, update 1.15.0 happened. This is actually a good thing, but it caused a lot of criticism in the community. What was missing in the patch notes was a hotfix for a serious duplication exploit that allowed players to rain virtually unlimited supply grenades from the sky for some time.
The situation was exacerbated when content creator TheBurntPeanut demonstrated the exploit on his channels (1.8 million followers on Twitch, 1.53 million on YouTube). On Reddit, players complained that ARC Raiders had become partially unplayable due to the exploit. Stella Montis would, for example, transform into an artillery training area.
Quick response to justified criticism
How are the developers responding to the criticism? About 3 hours after the release of patch 1.15.0, the developers at Embark already provided a hotfix. On X they explained:
Attention, Raiders, an additional hotfix has just been released that fixes the item duplication bug. Thank you to everyone who reported the issue and for your patience while we worked on it.
Players who have duplicated an excessive number of items will undergo further review and may face potential penalties.
A download is not required for this update.
While some players are pleased with the hotfix and call for penalties for all exploit users, others criticize that they are being used as beta testers and that, due to the numerous bugs and glitches, there should be no penalties at all.

With the new update, the event “Shared Watch” has started today, encouraging you to fight against ARC and put PvP on the back burner.
