Today, Xur visits Destiny 2 one last time before the new expansion Witch Queen and presents you with cheap Exotics at a bargain price. Next week, he will change his offers a bit. However, we will first let you know what you can snag this week.
What happened this week in Destiny 2? Players in Destiny 2 had to wait a long time to experience the last mission of Season 15. However, since some didn’t want to watch the cutscene, this caused frustration and annoyance. The drop of the ship from this last mission was buggy and will soon be reintroduced by Bungie.
Anyone who thought the Warlock was the “one true supporter” might have to change this statement in Witch Queen. The new Hunter Exotic “Renewal Grips” has the potential to give the gunslinger an equally important supporter role.
And for all interested players wondering: “Is it worth getting into Witch Queen at all?” MeinMMO has done the check this week:

Where is Xur? This is his lair for the weekend

This is how Xur’s offers change in Witch Queen
Instead of adding Exotics from removed season missions only to the “Monument to Lost Lights”, the weapons will appear in Xur’s inventory every weekend with the start of the new expansion Witch Queen. For the first time on Friday, February 25.
Xur will then offer you a unique roll for the Exotics “Fatebringer” and “The Last Word” that can be acquired by all players who own Beyond Light for the following materials:
- 1 Ascendant Shard
- 1 Exotic Code
- 125,000 Glimmer
- 200 Legendary Shards
Iron Banner fights instead of Trials of Osiris
Why are there no Trials this weekend? Bungie has changed the rotation of PvP modes. When the Iron Banner event is active in a week, there will be no Trials. This is to prevent both PvP events from interfering with each other and to provide players with variety.
If you still need some XP bounties for Witch Queen, this is a good opportunity. Bungie had already announced that the Iron Banner bounties will remain available after the launch of Witch Queen. You will no longer receive top loot from them, but the experience points can help you ease into Witch Queen.
Here you can find a list of all bounties you can complete:
Do you think Xur will become even more interesting with the adjustments soon, or do you not care where you buy Exotics? How important is Xur to you, and do you also miss a shader feature in his inventory? Let us know in the comments.
