With the start of Season 9, the Warlock Osiris from Destiny 2 takes center stage and provides you with some new quests. However, he tends to hold these back. But you might be able to change that.
What is the story with Osiris? With the Weekly Reset on December 10, the new Season of Dawn has begun in Destiny 2. This brings the old Warlock Osiris into the spotlight – a character many may already know from the DLC I Curse of Osiris or indirectly from the Trials (of Osiris).
This is why Osiris is important: In Season 9, Osiris provides you with new tasks and quests, especially at the beginning, and is essentially the main quest giver.
So if you also want to explore PvE in Season 9 and tackle the new content, you will inevitably have encounters with this character at his Sundial on Mercury. The game will frequently send you back to him.
What is the problem with Osiris? The issue with this NPC is that he often does not have new quests or the desired next quest step for you – even though he should. Often his inventory or the menu are simply empty. Or he is not marked on the map accordingly, but still has something new for you.
This apparently is not because he does not like you or that you are not “qualified” for the quest or the respective step, but is likely one of the many problems that Destiny 2 has started Season 9 with.
How to fix the problem: However, this specific problem can often be circumvented – and quite easily by repeatedly “asking”.
If Destiny 2 sends you back to him, but he has nothing with him? Then leave the menu and interact with him again – if necessary, even multiple times.
If that doesn’t work, fly to orbit and then return to Osiris. Often, the quest offer already contains one or more new tasks at the next “conversation”, without you having to do anything – for example, with the task to activate the second obelisk on Mars.
If you have completed a quest, but are not signaled to return to him, even though the quest or the step requires or suggests it? Even then, you should still visit him and possibly interact with him multiple times. This can solve this problem in many cases.
Are you also having problems with Osiris’s quests or in other areas of the game? By the way, there will be another maintenance for Destiny 2 this evening – but these errors will likely not be fixed:
