This week marks week 11 of the Witch’s Season in Destiny 2. At the same time, it is also the last week of the Festival of the Lost. MyMMO tells you what to expect in the coming 7 days and what rewards await you.
What’s happening this week: The community is currently in an uproar, following the announcement that Bungie had to lay off several employees. In Destiny 2, however, everything continues as usual for now.
- During the Festival of the Lost, the free Halloween event, players are trying to obtain as many black leather mementos as possible in the last week since they drop very rarely, which means you have to invest some engrams and thus time.
- Not all triumphs have been completed yet, but maybe the secret will be revealed today.
As Season 22 with its Hive theme has been well received by many, there is hope for an unexpected twist that sheds new light on the Witch Queen Savathûn’s plans and the hunt for the Witness. Because Season 23, the Season of Wish, is not far off. It starts on November 28.
The resurrection of Savathûn in Season 22 of Destiny 2 was spectacular:
Key information on activities from October 31 to November 7.
Strike
- The Devil’s Lair, in the Cosmodrome
- The Fallen are rampaging there again and bringing their mega-mechs. Charge your shotguns, grab your Gjallarhorn, and put an end to the Fallen god “Sepiks Prime”.
Crucible – This is the rotating PvP activity
- The two modes Zone Control and Witch’s Brew are running this week in PvP.
Endgame: Raid Challenges and Dungeon Rotation
Farmable endgame on a weekly basis: In the further course of the endgame, the Legacy Rotations await.
Both the rotation raid, the rotation dungeon, and the exotic rotation missions are farmable. This means you can complete the individual encounters repeatedly to receive different items and complete your collection, including possible exotics available in these contents.
- The weekly legacy raid is “Vault of Glass” with the weapon exotic “Vex Mythoclast”.
- Additionally, in the “Prophecy” dungeon, there is extra loot, but no exotic, as this activity was once just a gift from Bungie to all players.
- The weekly exotic mission is “Vox Obscura” with the grenade launcher “Dead Messenger”.
Weekly Activities
These are the ritual activities: Season 22 offers Guardians new challenges and a card deck that supports them on their missions with buffs and benefits – as long as they unlock everything and assemble their deck accordingly.
- Altars of Summoning: Offer sacrifices in the Witch Queen’s otherworldly prison to summon horrible enemies, defeat them, and gain their power.
- Here, there are three difficulty levels that you can activate. So if you activate “Powerful”, the highest difficulty with three swords, you will definitely break a sweat.
- However, expanding your deck makes it increasingly easier.
- Savathûn’s Pillar: Activate the pillar, defeat its overseers, and gain access to the Altars of Summoning.
- Void Crystals have a barrier around them and protect nearby enemies. The barrier must be entered, and the crystal must be destroyed from within.
- Solar Crystals burn upon pickup and must be transported to a separate part of the arena.
- Arc Crystals grant the charge buff “Crystalline Charge” in melee. Inactive Arc Crystals must be awakened with a “Transference Melee”.
Ongoing Event
This event is currently active: Guardians can celebrate the Festival of the Lost for another 2 weeks starting today. It offers candies that you can exchange for weapons or exotics. Or you can complete bounties to stock up on your Glimmer supply. The coolest memento can currently also be earned through the festival.
In Destiny 2, there are a total of 4 of these free events for all players:
Lightfall – Weekly Campaign Mission
- “First Contact”
- In the first mission, you establish first contact and learn about Strand for the very first time as you roam with your Guardian through Neomuna. Strand is the new subclass from Lightfall, and there is something you have to do…
Ascendant Challenge – Dreaming City
If you still need triumphs from the Dreaming City: Corruption reveals new accesses with a sip of “Queen’s Leaf Tincture” so you can find them.
- Petra Venj can now be found in the Dreaming City right at the spawn point – as always during the 2nd curse week. At the same time, the 6th Ascendant Challenge is active.
All Sources for Top Loot in Season 22 of Destiny 2
More power level comes automatically: The power level is also capped in Season 22, which means that the hard power level cap in Destiny 2 remains at 1,810. Thus, no player is forced to achieve peak performance every week, but instead, automatically levels the artifact level in all activities.
- There are still hard challenges, even without an increase in power level. For example, in Grandmaster Raids, Nightfall Strikes, Grandmaster Lost Sectors, or Trials of Osiris. Here, a high artifact level is advantageous and necessary.
However, if you are currently not at the hard cap of 1,810, we have listed the best sources for top loot for you.
This top loot brings your power level up to 1,810:
- Top Raid “Crota’s End“ (+2)
- Top Dungeon “Depths of Despair” (+2)
- Legacy Raid Rotation this week: “Vault of Glass” (+2) – farmable
- Legacy Dungeon Rotation “Prophecy” (+2) – farmable
- Legacy Exotic Mission “Vox Obscura” (+2) – farmable
