This week, the last week of the Christmas event in Destiny 2 starts. However, what you can tackle in the upcoming days before the new year begins, you will of course find out from us as usual.
This is happening this week: Unfortunately, this week it is a bit quieter, but with fewer server downs than usual. The year is coming to an end and soon Guardians will set foot in the new expansion in 2023.

Vanguard: Nightfall – The Trial by Fire
- The Corrupted, in the Dreaming City
- The Guardians must find one of Queen Mara’s closest advisors, Sedia, and free her from the control of the Taken.
Playlist Strikes have the following modifiers this week:
- Void Singe
- Slayer
- Grounded
- The singe modifier accompanies you throughout the week; the others change daily.
Endgame: Raid Challenges and Dungeon Rotation
What’s happening in the Raid “King’s Fall”:
In the current raid “King’s Fall”, you must face the last raid challenge to earn more loot.
- In the challenge “Hands Off“, players may not kill the same Ogre and Knight more than once. You must consider carefully what you want to kill, as no one from your team may defeat the same Light Eater Ogre and Light Eater Knight more than once.
- This restriction applies throughout the entire encounter and also includes the two Ogres that spawn during the final battle. However, despite these restrictions, you must kill both the Ogre and the Knight quickly.
You can expect the following raid requirements and challenges:
- In Normal mode, completing a challenge grants you double loot.
- Only from the Grandmaster raid can you receive status-specific armor and master weapons.
- You can also earn the new raid-exclusive exotic cosmetics in Oryx look in the Grandmaster.
Additional Legacy Pinnacle Rewards from the Endgame:
- The Glass Chamber is opening its Vex portals again and sending you into its interdimensional raid for loot.
- Play the dungeon “Siphon of Greed” for additional pinnacle loot.
Crucible – This is the PvP playlist:
- In PvP, the mode “Dynamic Control” returns.
Playlist bonus this week:
- This week, there are bonus rank points raining down for the Trials of Osiris.

Savathun’s Throne World – Weekly Campaign Mission
- “The Communion”
- You will go to the Pyramid on Europa, where Caiatl’s Cabal are already waiting for you. The Light has made you forget, and now the Vanguard wants to use the Dark to uncover old memories.
Ascendant Challenge – Dreaming City
- Petra Venj can be found in the Rheasilvia area in the Dreaming City. The whole zone is in the 3rd curse week. You must master the 4th Ascendant Challenge.
