Season 18 in Destiny 2 is entering the final stretch and brings the anticipated community event online tonight. MeinMMO tells you exactly what else is on the agenda after the weekly reset and what activities you can tackle.
Here’s what’s happening this week: The Guardians are being asked by Misraaks this week to take on the honorable task of helping the Fallen in the Eliksni neighborhood improve their living conditions.
While Spider has set up a cozy, small, and above all warm shop for his business, the rest of the Eliksni still live in places without walls, shelter, or warmth. Time to lend them a hand, Guardians.
If you’re not exhausted enough afterward, you can also face the current toughest Nightfall challenge in the strike “The Lightblade” this week.
The key information on activities from November 22 to 29.
Strike: Nightfall – The Trial by Fire
- The Lightblade, Savathûn’s Throne World
- The strike “The Lightblade” is currently considered an extremely difficult challenge and is quite tough at higher difficulty levels. Guardians travel to the deep swamps of the Throne World to obtain a relic that provides more clues on how Savathûn gained the light. You will face an Oryx-worthy foe who guards the temple where the relic is found.
This week’s Nightfall weapon: As a reward for your run, you will always receive a special Nightfall weapon.
Playlist strikes have the following modifiers this week:
- Solar Ignition
- Heavyweight
- Iron
- The ignition modifier accompanies you all week, while the others change daily.
Endgame: Raid Challenges and Dungeon Rotation
What’s happening in the raid “King’s Fall”:
In the current raid “King’s Fall,” you must face the final raid challenge to earn more loot.
- In the challenge “Hands Off“, players are not allowed to kill the same Ogre and Knight more than once. So, you need to think carefully about what you want to kill, as no one in your team may defeat the same Light Eater Ogre and Light Eater Knight more than once.
- This restriction applies throughout the encounter and also includes the two Ogres that spawn during the final battle. But despite these limitations, you must kill both the Ogre and the Knight quickly.
Here are the raid requirements and challenges awaiting you:
- In Normal mode, completing a challenge gives you double loot.
- The requirement for each encounter for Grandmasters is a power level of 1600 with champions.
- Only from the Grandmaster raid can you receive status-specific armor and master weapons.
- You can also earn the new raid-exclusive exotic cosmetics in the Oryx style in the Grandmaster.
Additional legacy pinnacle rewards from the endgame:
- Proceed carefully into the raid “Glass Chamber.”
- Play the dungeon “Pit of Heresy” for additional pinnacle loot.
Weekly Activities
In Season 18, Guardians can act as a pirate with their own crew and collect cryptic four-liners and complete the seasonal content. This includes:
- Ketch Crash: Dive into this new 6-player activity in ship versus ship battles to prevent Eramis and her pirate gang from plunging the galaxy into chaos. There’s top loot available once a week on Grandmaster difficulty.
- Expedition: Assemble treasure maps, search for treasures, and return to your ship while fending off enemy pirate crews.
- Pirate Hideouts: Fight through weekly missions and loot powerful relics hidden in the hideouts of the pirate lords.
Even though the seasonal quest has been completed by most players, a prologue could still be waiting. Currently, Mithrax and Eido are investigating the mysterious artifacts of Nezarek. It’s quite possible that Bungie has a final story piece along with a community event in store.
Along with Season 18, the current DLC from “The Witch Queen” is also active and can be played. For example, in the weekly repeatable campaign mission. There’s also top loot to be earned there to reach the current max power level of 1580.
Savathûn’s Throne World – Weekly Campaign Mission
- “The Trick”
- In the campaign mission, you search the dark corners of Savathûn’s Throne World for another hint of how she stole the light based on a tip from Fynch.
Crucible – Here are the PvP playlists:
- Private Match
- Rumble
- Control
- Elimination
- Glory Survival
- Glory Survival: Freelance
- Rift
- “Trials of Osiris” starting November 26, including the return of the Freelance mode and “Zone Control”
Playlist bonus this week:
- This week, the 14th Saint favors you with bonus Trials ranks in Trials.
Ascendant Challenge – Dreaming City
- Petra Venj is located at the top of the pavilion in the area “The Shore” in the Dreaming City. The curse cycle starts anew and curse week 1 is active. The 5th Ascendant Challenge is also active.
