It has become quiet in Destiny 2. Only one week left until the launch of Season 23, and the Dreaming City is preparing for its grand comeback. But before that, MeinMMO will tell you what still needs to be done.
This week: You could call it a bit of the calm before the storm. Destiny 2 is just around the corner from the start of its Season 23, promising new content starting November 28 and especially a reunion with the greatest creatures in the Destiny universe.
- In Season 23, a mysterious Ahamkara egg and Mara Sov will be involved.
- You need to find the 15th wish and indirectly continue Savathun’s plan against the Witness.
- Additionally, a Witcher-themed armor set inspired by Geralt of Rivia will be added to the game.
Everything else you can expect in Season 23 can be found here: Destiny 2 unveils its biggest secret with Season 23 – All about “Season of the Wish”
But before that, you should invest a little time in your season start this week. A new dungeon with increasing difficulty awaits on December 1st. So it wouldn’t hurt to hoard some completed bounties to level your artifact faster.
Tomorrow, Bungie will also reveal more information in the weekly TWiD
(This Week at Destiny blog). Among other things, what new things to expect in Season 23 regarding the Stasis ability.
The key information on activities from November 21 to 28.
Nightfall
- Heist Battleground: Moon
- Xivu Arath’s battle hymn is wreaking havoc on the Warmind bunkers. Reclaim them and secure the underground buildings from the Hive’s access.
Crucible – This is the rotating PvP activity
- The last week of the season includes the modes Control and Mayhem.
Boost in all three playlists
No matter where you log in this week: There is a boost in all three playlists, so you can rank up quickly and still collect all items, like shaders and weapon ornaments.
Endgame: Raid challenges and dungeon rotation
Farmable endgame on a weekly rotation: For those who enjoy challenges, the endgame offers the so-called Legacy Rotations. They can be repeated and farmed.
What does “Farmable Endgame” mean in Destiny 2?
Since Season 21, all missions and raids rotate weekly and are farmable. This means both the active rotation raid, the active rotation dungeon, and the exotic rotation missions can be farmed in the week. You can complete the individual encounters multiple times to receive different items and complete your collection, including any exotics available in these contents.
- The weekly Legacy Raid is “Root of Nightmares” with the currently strong exotic shotgun “Conditional Finality”
- Additionally, there is extra loot in the dungeon “Keeper’s Pillar” and the exotic bow “Hierarchy of Needs”.
- The weekly exotic mission is “Vox Obscura” with the wave exotic grenade launcher “Dead Messenger”.
Weekly Activities
These are the ritual activities: All content from Season 22, including the map deck and seasonal activities, will still be available in Season 23. However, you can only play them this week to complete the title or seasonal challenges.
- Altars of Summoning: Offer sacrifices in the otherworldly prison of the Witch Queen to summon hideous enemies, defeat them, and gain their power.
- Savathun’s Pillar: Activate the pillar, defeat its overseers, and gain access to the Altars of Summoning.
Lightfall – Weekly Campaign Mission
- No More Time
- In this week’s Lightfall mission, you can drive tanks. You are out of time and need to assist Rohan at the radial mast.
Ascendant Challenge – Dreaming City
Soon, there will be more going on in the Dreaming City, and there will be new tasks to complete. Time to finish the old ones first, like the many hidden chests this week. You just need to take a sip of “Queen’s Leaf Tincture” from your inventory, and the corruption will reveal new accesses to you.
- Petra Venj has this week’s 3rd Ascendant Challenge for you. You will find Petra and her quest offer at the location “Divalian Mists” in the Dreaming City. The City of the Awakened enters the second stage of corruption.
All sources for top loot in Season 22 of Destiny 2
More power level comes automatically: There will probably not be any more grinding for power levels in Season 23 either. The harsh power level cap in Destiny 2 has remained unchanged at 1,810 for several seasons. This way, no player is forced to achieve peak performance every week but levels the artifact level automatically in all activities.
You should still plan a bit ahead. Because the dungeon starts on December 1. It will have an increasing difficulty per encounter and therefore it makes sense to at least quickly progress your artifact to utilize all benefits.
However, if you are currently not at the hard cap of 1,810, we have compiled the best sources for top loot for you.
This top loot brings your power level to 1,810:
- Top raid “Crota’s End” (+2)
- Top dungeon “Depths of Darkness” (+2)
