A curious Telesto week in Destiny 2 is over. But before the “Queen of Bugs” bids farewell, MeinMMO could extract from her what activities the new week will include. Additionally, a new “Outbreak” is available for all players in PvP for free.
This week: Destiny 2 is approaching the end of Season 18. In these final weeks, the voice of a legendary hero and defender of the Last City will once again sound from the Felwinter Peak. The honorable Lord Saladin has returned from the Cabal and calls his most loyal wolves, as well as all who wish to become one, to the Iron Banner event. While it is Guardians against Guardians here, your team is also important.
Which mode is active in the Iron Banner event? Players will face each other in the Iron Banner mode “Outbreak”, the “Call of Duty” interpretation of killstreaks just for Destiny 2. However, not with little helpers as in CoD, but very Bungie-like with a strong boost to your space abilities. Each kill makes you shine brighter and can also push your team.
However, the PvP offers other options this week that you can take advantage of:
- “Momentum Control” is active. In this mode, kills are easier to achieve. The radar is disabled, and all weapons deal increased damage. This allows you to complete quests or catalysts in the PvP excellently, as the TTK is noticeably shorter.
- Lord Shaxx provides additional bonus crucible ranks on top. This way, your rank-ups can also be quickly achieved without much effort.

Vanguard: Nightfall – The Fiery Trial
The Nightfall: The Fiery Trial is the strike:
- The Mirror Corridor, on Jupiter’s moon Europa (Beyond Light)
- Elsie Bray, the Exo Stranger, requests the Guardians’ help to stop the advance of the Vex on Europa. Get ready and defeat the Transcendent Spirit “Belmon” again in the Nightfall.
This is the Nightfall weapon for this week: As a reward for your run, you will always receive a special Nightfall weapon.
Playlist strikes have the following modifiers this week:
- Void Singe
- Heavyweight
- Iron
- The modifier for Singe accompanies you all week; the others change daily.
Endgame: Raid Challenges and Dungeon Rotation
The following happens in the raid “King’s Fall”:
In the current raid “King’s Fall”, you must face Oryx himself in the fourth raid challenge to receive more loot.
- In the challenge “In the Construction”, you should, in a damage phase where you steal the aura of a witch, only stand on each platform once to generate the dimensional platforms of the runner. After each completed phase, this restriction is reset, and you can again only stand on each platform once. If you stand twice on the same plate in one run, the challenge is considered failed.
You can expect the following raid requirements and challenges:
- In normal mode, completing a challenge gives you double loot.
- The requirement for each encounter for Grandmasters is Power Level 1600 with champions.
- Only the Grandmaster raid rewards you with status-specific armor and master weapons.
- You can also earn the new raid-exclusive exotic cosmetics in the Oryx look in Grandmasters.
Additional legacy top rewards from the endgame:
- Warm up for the raid “Deep Stone Crypt” on the ice moon Europa.
- Pack super glue for the Dreaming City dungeon “The Broken Throne”.
Weekly Activities
In Season 18, Guardians can act as pirates with their own crew to collect cryptic quatrains and complete the seasonal content. This includes:
- Ketch Crash: Dive into this new 6-player activity for ship-to-ship combat to prevent Eramis and her pirate crew from plunging the galaxy into chaos. Here you can earn top loot once a week on Grandmaster.
- Expedition: Assemble treasure maps, search for treasures, and return to your ship while fending off enemy pirate crews.
- Pirate Hides: Fight through weekly missions and loot powerful relics hidden in the lairs of the pirate lords.
Even though the seasonal quest has now been completed by most players, a prologue could still be waiting. Currently, Mithrax and Eido are investigating the mysterious artifacts of Nezarek. It is quite possible that Bungie has a final piece of story along with a community event up its sleeve.
In addition to Season 18, the current DLCs from “The Witch Queen” are still active and can be played. For example, in the weekly repeatable campaign mission. There, you can also earn top loot to reach the current max power level of 1580.

How to get free loot: For all new and old Guardians who want to join in the future or after a break, Bungie has prepared the “Gift of the Thunder Gods” in Season 18.
You can claim this loot chest for free in the H.E.L.M. after you complete the “New Light” campaign. It will boost you to a power level of up to 1540 or more – with arc gear and weapons, as well as two exotic and ten legendary items. You can claim the rewards for all your characters once.
