Today, on 08.10., the Weekly Reset takes place at Destiny 2. The hotfix 2.6.0.3 is now here, but there is an emergency maintenance. The servers will go offline for that. Additionally, a new Flashpoint and new Nightfall strikes are waiting for the Guardians. We also explain where there is now Powerful Gear from.
New update for Destiny 2 is here, but there are server issues: The hotfix 2.6.0.3 (4.43 MB) was released today at 7 PM. This is now available to the players, but you will have to return to the title screen.
The maintenance took place in the background, so there was actually no downtime; the servers remained online continuously. However, after the installation, problems occurred. Bungie had to take the servers offline for emergency maintenance.
Which problems this update specifically addresses will be revealed in the patch notes. However, these are very concise:
- A bug was fixed where accepting a Seasonal Artifact in an activity with a locked loadout could lock access to the artifact.
Update 8.10., 19:46: The servers are back online – at least on PS4 you can now access the game.
Update 8.10., 20:03: According to Bungie, the servers should be completely online again. However, you may still end up in the queue.
What else is coming up this week for the Guardians? After the launch of the new raid and the Vex Offensive, the next Shadowkeep content will also launch this week: the Nightmare Hunt at the new difficulty level “Heroic”. This activity takes place on the Moon and is exclusively available to owners of Shadowkeep. Some activities will also rotate with the weekly reset.

The following Nightfall strikes can be played this week: The regular Nightfall (Power level 820) features the following strikes:
- The Terminus of Insight
- Exodus Crash
- The Hollow Hideout
These are the difficulty levels for Nightfall: The Ordeal:
- Master (recommended power level 750, with matchmaking)
- Heroic (recommended power level 920, with matchmaking)
- Legendary (recommended power level 950)
- Grandmaster (recommended power level 980)
Here you cannot select the Nightfall strike yourself, only the difficulty level.
Strikes and story missions: The following modifiers are active in the Vanguard strikes:
- Void Singe
- Iron
- Heavyweight
Note that the Singe element remains active until the next reset, while the other two modifiers rotate daily.

Flashpoint: This week you can find the Flashpoint in the Tangled Shore.
Petra Venj is currently (Curse Week 3) in the Rheasilvia area of the Dreaming City. Since the Broken Throne is now constantly active, interested guardians can play it at any time. By the way, this week the 4th Ascendant Challenge is active.

With Shadowkeep, the sources for the Powerful rewards have been revised. Not all NPCs and activities offer these coveted rewards.

These are the tiers for Powerful Gear: The Powerful loot has now been divided into several tiers that grant you different power boosts:
- Tier 1 (up to +3 above the current power level)
- Tier 2 (up to +4 above the current power level)
- Tier 3 (up to +5 above the current power level)
- Peak gear (+5 or more above the power level. The only gear that goes above 950 and up to a maximum of 960)
- Additional tiers obtained through the seasonal artifact do not count towards the average power level and thus towards the drop calculations
