The Solstice event is over in Destiny 2 and everything is returning to normal. But don’t get too comfortable, Guardians, in two weeks Season 18 begins with a lot of new stuff. That’s why we’re showing you what activities await you this week.
This is happening this week: You have only two weeks left before Season 18 arrives. To prepare optimally, you should stock up on your resources this week.

PvP players among you can rejoice, as the Trials of Osiris will have the modes “Zone Control” and “Freelance” activated. On top of that, you’ll also receive bonus trial rank points this week to reward you additionally.
Lastly, PvE players will receive a light Nightfall strike to wind down. The weapon dealer still hasn’t figured it out and wants to be banished again from his huge cable ship, which hardly anyone can pronounce. Do him a favor and take him out.

Strike: Nightfall – The Crucible
The Nightfall: The Crucible is this week’s strike:
- The weapon dealer, in the European Dead Zone
- You will face a lot of Cabal with Solar and Void shields there. Additionally, you must defeat the boss “Bracus Tynoc,” who likes to unleash his horde of warbeasts on you.
This is the Nightfall weapon of the week: As a reward, Bracus Tynoc, the strike boss, will drop a special Nightfall weapon, which you can also get in the “Higher Stakes” difficulty as a Master version.

Endgame: Raid Challenges and Dungeon Rotation
This is happening in the latest raid “The Oath of the Student“:
- In the raid of “Oath of the Student,” the challenge “Quick Destruction” starts. To complete it, players must defeat all unstoppable champions simultaneously or within a few seconds.
- As a reward for the challenge in the first section of the raid at Grandmaster, this week there is a chance for a Master version of the submachine gun “Submission,” the fusion rifle “Deliverance,” or the linear fusion rifle “Catastrophic.”.
Additional top rewards from the endgame include:
- In the legacy raid “The Glass Chamber” on Venus.

Weekly Activities
With Season 17, more activities have also come into play. Explore the Leviathan and face the nightmares or surprising boss opponents in the new patrol zone. Pull the Solar Senses there and defend yourself in the Nightmare Containment. In addition, you can expect these weekly activities:

- Petra Venj has this week the 2nd Ascendant Challenge for you. You can find Petra and her quest offer at the location “The Shore” in the Dreaming City. Also, Savathun has her fingers in the pie here as the curse begins to reclaim the Holy City of the Awoken at level 1.

This is the new max level: In the new season of the Haunted, the maximum power level of your equipment is 1,570. This means that the power level at the start of the new Season 17 has increased by +10 power levels compared to the previous Season 16.
