The end of the content drought has come, as in Destiny 2, the Guardians can finally start a new Season 19 today. MeinMMO tells you what activities the new week includes.
This is happening this week: With the start of Season 19, not only new content arrives in Destiny 2 today. Bungie reactivates the Seraph Bunkers and sends the Guardians back into these hidden areas. There will also be activity areas in the open world, and a raid location will even be accessible to all players.
In addition, many sandbox changes are making their way into the game. We have already summarized what changes in this article:
Bungie wants to improve annoying game bugs and the current difficult state of PvP in Season 19. The general dissatisfaction in the community has led to the lowest player numbers ever. Whether Season 19 will make things better and whether Bungie will consider further options in the future remains to be seen. We at MeinMMO will definitely report on how Bungie might change the current course for its community.
But before we talk about the future, MeinMMO will first tell you what content awaits in the new Season 19. Please note that we were only able to supplement the information partially after 6 PM. So, make sure to check back on this article occasionally.
Here, you can watch the brand new trailer for Season 19:
The most important information about activities from December 6th to December 13th.
Vanguard: Nightfall – The Fire Test
- Terminus of Insight, on Nessus
- The Cabal Legion has sent its best hacker to find out information in a Vex network. It is now up to you to stop him so that the Last City can continue to exist in peace.
This is the Nightfall weapon of the week: As a reward for your run, you always get a special Nightfall weapon.
Playlist Strikes have the following modifiers this week:
- Arc Burn
- Heavyweight
- Grounded
- The burn modifier accompanies you all week; the others change daily.
Endgame: Raid Challenges and Dungeon Rotation
This is happening in the raid “King’s Fall”:
In the current raid “King’s Fall,” you must face the second raid challenge to get more loot.
- The second raid challenge “Devious Theft” takes place in the second phase of the King’s Fall raid at the War Priest. To specifically complete the challenge “Devious Theft,” you must not carry the buff “Mark of the Initiate” for longer than 5 seconds instead of 30 seconds. The timer starts after you kill the Possessed Knight and take the buff off.
Expect the following raid requirements and challenges:
- In Normal mode, completing a challenge brings you double loot.
- Only the Grandmaster raid provides you with status-specific armor and master weapons.
- You can also earn new raid-exclusive exotic cosmetics in the Oryx look in the Grandmaster.
Additional Legacy Pinnacle rewards from the endgame:
- Head into the raid “Last Wish.”
- Play the dungeon “The Broken Throne” for more pinnacle loot.
Weekly Activities
In Season 19, titled “Season of the Seraphs,” the Guardians can once again expect various PvE activities. These include:
- The Heist Battlegrounds
- An exotic mission “Operation: Seraph’s Shield”
- The Triumph Moments MMXXI
In addition to Season 19, the previous DLC seasons from “The Witch Queen” are still active until the next DLC-Lightfall. This means you can participate in the weekly repeatable campaign mission and earn pinnacle loot there. The new max power level is now 1590 and has therefore increased by 10 power levels.
Savathun’s Throne World – Weekly Campaign Mission
- “The Ritual” – Repeatable Witch Queen campaign mission
- You are to stay in the Throne World on behalf of the Vanguard, as Savathun has brought the Traveler there. While attempting to free it, you have to “play games” with her to reveal the betrayal and the last memory of her Worm Ancestor to the Witch Queen. Whether or not this was part of her plan, you must decide in the end.
Crucible – These are the PvP playlists:
- Private Match
- Rumble
- Control
- Elimination
- Glory Survival
- Glory Survival: Freelance
- Rift
Ascendant Challenge – Dreaming City
- Petra Venj can now be found in the Dreaming City right at Rheasilvia – as always during the 3rd curse week. At the same time, the 1st Ascendant Challenge is active.
