While much of the Destiny 2 campaign of the Witch Queen has already been completed by players and therefore not much is left to do for them, this week the PvE hardcore players are gathering for their endgame. However, MeinMMO will show you what other rituals are planned.
This week: This week is all about rituals. First, the Freelance mode returns for PvP. So if you want to go solo in the Trials, as a lone wolf, this is your chance.
Perfect for playing the Trials solo: Normally, you can only play the Trials of Osiris if you have a full team of three players. However, after the reset at 7 PM, the Solo playlist will be displayed as an additional search node on the Crucible’s Navigator page.
There’s also fresh air for the dusty PvEvP mode in Gambit. The Gambit Labs continue and bring “Invasion Reversal” after the Freelance mode. This will change the known routine and determine who receives invasions during the particle phase of the activity.
This is what will change in Gambit: Labs: If a team reaches 25 and 75 particles in the bank, everything will be turned upside down and the opposing team will get an invasion. Bungie sweetens the test lab with double Gambit reputation gain.
And last but not least, the PvE endgame with Grandmaster starts after today’s weekly reset. While most players don’t have much left to do, this mode now attracts the PvE hardcore gamers into the Destiny universe. Here even a high power level doesn’t help, because the activity takes place in the so-called competitive mode.
What does competitive mode mean? The power level requirement is normally 1,600 but every player will be capped at a power level of 1,575. Anyone who completes all six strikes of this Season 16 and gilds their title is a true conqueror of PvE. It starts with the Fist of the Fallen and you will be rewarded with double loot for this.

The Grandmaster: The Trial by Fire is the strike this week:
- The Fist of the Fallen, on the Moon
- Hashladun, the daughter of Crota, has designed the red Hive Bastion to utilize the energies of the Pyramid that lie buried in the abyss below. You are to drive her out of her refuge in the strike and thin the ranks of Oryx’s offspring.
- Playlist strikes have these modifiers:
- Arc Burn
- Grenadier
- Iron
- The burning modifier will accompany you all week, while the others change daily.
These weapons can be obtained from Grandmasters: Every week, players can acquire certain weapons from the Grandmaster strikes. Currently, there are eight weapons in rotation in the loot pool. Two of these are available each week.
- The Palindrome – 140 Hand Cannon
- Plug-One.1 – Arc Fusion Rifle
Grandmaster Grandmasters: After the reset, the hardcore mode will start in the Grandmasters. You can then earn the current Grandmaster weapon as an improved Master version (Adept). However, to start this trial, you will need a power level of 1,575 and you will fight in competitive mode. This means you are a full 25 power levels below the Grandmaster power level of 1,600.
This is happening in the raid “Glass Chamber“:
- In the Glass Chamber, the challenge “Out of the Way” takes place this time. One of your teammates will be tasked with preventing the Templar from teleporting. The relic holder will stand on a glowing circle, the spot from where he teleports away.
- As a reward, the Time-lost weapon “Destiny’s Bane” (Hand Cannon) awaits in challenge mode. The weapon will come guaranteed with 2 perks per slot. Keep in mind that hard and normal modes share the loot.
- The armor focusing in the raid “Glass Chamber” this week: Intelligence
This is happening in the raid “The Pledge of the Learner”:
- This week, the new raid in the Throne World enters the next round of challenges. Not all mechanics are known yet, however, the third challenge is called “Defense Failed”.
Savathun’s Throne World – Weekly Campaign Mission
- “The Arrival” – Repeatable Witch Queen campaign mission
- This week you can once again play the first campaign mission on Grandmaster difficulty. You infiltrate the Cabal base on Mars and then investigate Savathun’s ship for clues about the Light.

Active bonus this week: This week there are multiple bonuses. On one hand, you earn bonus Vanguard ranks, even in the Grandmaster. On the other hand, when the Gambit Labs are active, the bonus for Gambit ranks is doubled.
Ascendant Challenge – Dreaming City
- Petra Venj has this week the 2nd Ascendant Challenge for you. You can find Petra and her quest offer at the location “The Shore” in the Dreaming City. Here, Savathun is also meddling, as the curse begins to reclaim the holy city of the Awoken at stage 1.
Sources for top loot in Season 16 of Destiny 2
This is the new max level: In the new season of the Resurrected, the maximum power level of your gear is 1,560. This raises the power level at the start of the DLC by +230 power levels compared to the previous Season 15. However, all players will also be elevated to a base power level of 1,350 at the start, and there are plenty of sources to level up quickly.
Those who want to reach a quick power level of 1,520 only have to finish the Legendary Campaign. One of the new Witch Queen exotics will also be gifted to you upon completion.
