Destiny 2 is celebrating the Guardian Games 2022 starting today to determine who gets to brag about being the best class in the game next year. However, we will show you what you can expect this week and which stylish items are available for Glimmer.
This week: Destiny 2 kicks off the class competition this week. The “Guardian Games” event is an annual tradition that everyone can participate in for free. During the event, Warlocks, Hunters, and Titans compete against each other to prove which class is the best.
Especially the Warlocks have a score to settle this year as they are the only class that has not yet won a Guardian Games. It’s time for them to finally float elegantly and grab the gold medal.
If you are still considering whether to participate: Here are at least two reasons why you might not want to miss out on the Guardian Games 2022.

The Nightfall: The Devil’s Lair is the strike this week:
- Fallen S.A.B.E.R., in the Cosmodrome
You must prevent the devils from gaining control of Rasputin’s war satellites again this week. If that were to happen, turrets from the Golden Age would be targeted at the Tower and the Last City within minutes.
Strike playlists have these modifiers:
- Voidburn
- Grenadier
- Blackout
- The burn modifier accompanies you all week, while the others change daily.
You can get these weapons from Nightfalls: Every week, players can obtain specific weapons from the Nightfall strikes. Currently, there are six rotating weapons in the loot pool. This week the rocket launcher is available:
- The Hothead, Arc Rocket Launcher
Grandmaster Nightfalls: To start in the king’s discipline of strikes, the Grandmaster Nightfall, you need a power level of 1,575. You will also be fighting in competitive mode. This means you will be fighting 25 power levels below the Grandmaster power level of 1,600, so you will need to be tactically clever and work well as a team. Additionally, you will receive the Nightfall weapon in its adept version.
This is happening in the raid “The Oryx Raid“:
- This week in the raid “Oryx Raid” the “Defense Failure” challenge is active. This raid challenge requires you to kill only one Besotted Knight with your Relic.
- As a reward for the challenge in the third section of the raid on Grandmaster, this week you have the chance to obtain a master version of the submachine gun “Subjugation” or the fusion rifle “Redemption”. However, keep in mind that Normal and Hard Mode share the loot.
This is happening in the raid “Glass Chamber“:
- In the Glass Chamber, you can take on the challenge “The Only Oracle for You”. During the encounter, you may only destroy each oracle once. Therefore, you must rotate during the oracle phases.
- As a reward in Challenge Mode awaits the time-lost weapon “Praedyth’s Revenge”. The weapon will definitely come with 2 perks per slot. However, keep in mind that Normal and Hard Mode share the loot.
- The armor focusing in the raid “Glass Chamber” this week: Resilience
Savathun’s Throne World – Weekly Campaign Mission
- “The Last Chance”
This week you can play the seventh campaign mission of the Witch Queen as a repeatable story mission. It’s about following the trusted source from Eris, who informs you about an artifact in the Throne World that may contain the answer to how Savathun gained the Light.

This is the new max level: In the new season of the Resurrected, the maximum power level of your gear is 1,560. This increases the power level at the start of the DLC by +230 power levels compared to the previous Season 15.
