With today’s Weekly Reset, the pinnacle Nightfalls in Destiny 2 are starting. However, a small change from Bungie will make this activity an even tougher challenge. MeinMMO tells you how hard it will be and what else you can find this week in Bungie’s loot shooter.
This week: Recently, Destiny 2 announced that the pinnacle Nightfalls will be made more accessible to everyone. This is a tough PvE endgame challenge where you will always be under-leveled, and these changes will go live tonight.
- The power level required for entry will be reduced by 25 power levels to 1,580.
- The overall power level for pinnacle activities will be reduced by 10 to 1,620.
So you can start the pinnacle Nightfall directly tonight if you have the 1,580 minimum power level of Season 19. No more restrictions. However, it also means that your enemies will be an underestimated 40 power levels above you in this case. Only those who use the artifact can make the activity a bit easier. In Season 19, that goes up to power level 1,595, so all enemies will only be 25 power levels above you.
New hardcore challenge for the best: While some Guardians are pushing their power level, the best players from Destiny 2 are currently considering how to get rid of their power level again today.
They plan to tackle the pinnacle Nightfalls with a brutal under-leveling of said 40 levels. Candidates for this are certainly the “Grandmaster of Nightfall” and PvE god Esoterikk. But Gladd, the former Destiny star streamer, also doesn’t want to miss out on this challenge and even challenged others on Twitter to a duel.

Vanguard: Nightfall – The Fire Trial
- Terminus of Insight, on Nessus
- The Red Legion has sent its best hacker to find information in a Vex network. It’s now up to you to stop him so that the Last City can continue to exist in peace.
Playlist Strikes have the following modifiers this week:
- Solar Singeing
- Heavyweight
- Grounded
- The modifier for Singeing will accompany you all week, while the others change daily.
Endgame: Raid Challenges and Dungeon Rotation
What happens in the raid “King’s Fall”:
In the current raid “King’s Fall,” the third challenge “Stunning Gaze” takes place. So feel free to get a little yelled at by the ogre.
- To complete the third challenge “Stunning Gaze”, it depends on the two “Gaze Bearers” or “Wrath Takers.” The one who initially pulled the wrath of Golgoroth must stand in a pool of regained light with the rest of the team doing damage. Only then may the second player sneak behind Golgoroth and fire at the yellow hit point to reclaim the Ogre’s gaze.
You can expect the following raid requirements and challenges:
- In Normal mode, completing a challenge yields double loot.
- Only from the Grandmaster Raid can you obtain status-specific armor and Master weapons.
- You can also earn the new Raid-exclusive exotic cosmetics in the Oryx look in the Grandmaster.
Additional Legacy Pinnacle Rewards from Endgame:
- The “Beyond Light” legacy raid “Garden of Salvation” is active this week.
- Play the dungeon “Pit of Heresy” for more top loot.
Crucible – This is the PvP Playlist:
- Shaxx wants you to whip out your Super and throw it around in PvP. So it’s a week to start the mode “Inferno”.

- As the pinnacle Nightfalls start, you can also pick up the weekly bonus there in the form of more rewards.
Weekly Activities
Still, you can’t swing the lasso in Destiny 2 as shown in the latest Destiny 2 trailer for Neomuna. There are Calus, incense sticks, Cloudstriders in distress, and tanks.
But that also means there’s still time to complete the Season challenges from the “The Witch Queen” DLC before these seasonal contents disappear.
Here come the key activities of this week:
Savathun’s Throne World – Weekly Campaign Mission
- “The Ritual” – Repeatable Witch Queen campaign mission
- You are to dwell in the Throne World on behalf of the Vanguard, for Savathun has brought the Traveler there. While you try to free him, you have to “play games” with her to reveal the betrayal and the final memory of her worm ancestor to the Witch Queen. Whether that was just part of her plan, you must decide at the end.
Ascendant Challenge – Dreaming City
- Petra Venj can now be found in the Dreaming City right at Rheasilvia – as always during the 3rd curse week. At the same time, the 1st Ascendant Challenge is active.
