In Destiny 2, the Weekly Reset is taking place today, September 1st. This brings new weekly activities, fresh Nightfall Strikes, and a new Flashpoint for the Guardians. But what else is there to do?
What’s happening in Destiny 2? Bungie used gamescom 2020 to share more about the big fall expansion Beyond Light and the new Stasis Supers. However, the new Stasis abilities are dividing the Guardians. Some fear balancing issues, especially in PvP.
According to Bungie, more details about each class will follow later in the week.
And fitting with the Weekly Reset, the world of Destiny 2 changes week by week, yet hardly anyone notices. Will today mark the start of the hot phase of the grand evacuation?
Key information about the weekly activities from 01.09 until 08.09.
The following Nightfall Strikes are available: In the regular Nightfall (Power level 820), you can choose from these Nightfalls:
- Shadow’s Sea
- The Pyramidion
- The Withering Core
In Nightfall: The Trial by Fire you must master the Strike
- The Dreaming City

In Strikes and Story Missions these modifiers are active:
- Solar Singe
- Grounded
- Overload
Keep in mind that the Singe modifier remains the same all week long. The other modifiers, however, rotate daily.
Crucible: These playlists and modes are on the agenda in PvP:

Escalation Protocol: You can earn the weapons of the Escalation Protocol in Season 11 from the Contact event and the Prophecy dungeon with additional perks and mod slots in the current version. The armor is still only available through the activity on Mars, but for some time now also in the “Armor 2.0” variant.
The current Flashpoint is found on Mars.
Petra Venj is currently located (Curse Week 2) for one week directly at the landing zone of the Dreaming City. She sends you on a mission to the 3rd Ascendant Challenge.

This is how powerful loot is structured in Destiny 2: Powerful loot comes in several tiers, granting you various power boosts. Accordingly, higher tiers also grant higher power boosts.
- Tier 1 (up to +3 over the current power level)
- Tier 2 (up to +4 over the current power level)
- Tier 3 (up to +5 over the current power level)
- pinnacle gear (+5 or more over the power level. The only gear that goes above 1050 and up to a maximum of 1060)
For your information: Power levels gained from the new artifact “Seed of Silver Wings” are not considered for calculating the power levels of your drops. Here, the average of equipment and weapons is decisive.
