In Destiny 2 the end of a gaming week is approaching and the beginning of a new one. This is where the “Weekly Reset” comes into play – a weekly event that gives every Guardian the opportunity to face new challenges with fresh loot.
This week: The Weekly Reset in Destiny 2 is a moment that brings fresh challenges into the game. Whether you play alone or with a team, after the reset all weekly challenges are active again and can be completed. Additionally, other activities are rotated and offer variety.
During the Solstice, the free summer event, things are going into the last round, as it ends on August 8th. However, this week you can finally take your Sparrows.
Bungie will bring back the long-missed option and allow you to pull your Sparrows in the European air zone. The developer commented on this with the words: You all wanted it, so have fun.
The important information about activities from August 1st to August 8th.
- Fallen S.A.B.E.R., in the Cosmodrome
- You must prevent the devils from taking control of Rasputin’s war satellites again this week. If that happens, artillery from the Golden Age would be aimed at the Tower and the Last City within minutes.
Crucible – This is the rotating PvP activity
- The two modes “Mayhem” and “Control” are running this week in PvP.
Bonus this week
- Until August 8th, Guardians receive double rewards in Nightfalls and a bonus in the Vanguard.
Endgame: Raid Challenges and Dungeon Rotation
Farmable Endgame on a weekly rotation: In the further course of the endgame, the Legacy Rotations await. Both the rotating raid and the rotating dungeon are farmable. This means you can complete the individual encounters again and again to receive various items and complete your collection. Including any exotics that are available in these contents.
- The weekly Legacy Raid is “The Oryx’s Call” with the Exotic
Peer Pressure
- Additionally, in the Dungeon “Prophecy” there is extra top loot but unfortunately no exotic.
Activity rotations of content will be further expanded by Bungie starting in Season 22. Then players will not only be able to play Raids and Dungeons as “Legacy”, but also old Exotic Missions.
Weekly Activities
With the weekly reset, several activities and challenges have been updated again, providing players with a variety of rewards and progress, making better Guardians out of them through repetition.
- In Season 21, Guardians need to dive to the ocean floor of Titan, as it is infested with Taken and the Hive. They search on the bottom of its methane ocean for something. This promises the solution to ancient mysteries and more information about the Origins of the Witness.
Lightfall – Weekly campaign mission
- “Breathtaking”
- This mission reveals more information about the CloudArk, which Guardians are supposed to discover. Rohan therefore sends you to the reactor of the network – the infrastructure of Neomuna.
Ascendant Challenge – Dreaming City
If you still need triumphs from the Dreaming City, then pay attention: The Corruption reveals new access points with a sip of “Queen’s Leaf Tincture”.
- Petra Venj is up at the pavilion in the area “The Shore” in the Dreaming City. The Curse Cycle starts anew and Curse Week 1 is active. The 5th Ascendant Challenge is also active.

Glint Dust Highlights in the Eververse
Almost every emote, ornament, or exo-vehicle ends up sooner or later in the Glint Dust offer. Therefore, it is always worth for Guardians to regularly grind this in-game currency to gradually complete their collection. Also this week there is something new in the summer look to buy.
