In Destiny 2, today, May 1st, is the Weekly Reset. With the weekly reset, new activities like the Nightfall strike or the Flashpoint can now be undertaken. The 6vs6 Iron Banner returns once more before the 2nd DLC.
It’s that time again – a new week breaks in the Destiny universe. And it brings a little surprise.

Due to the positive response from fans during the first 6vs6 Iron Banner Bungie is making an unplanned change to the weekly Crucible rotation. So the 6vs6 Iron Banner returns once more before the release of the upcoming Warmind expansion.
Until the release of the 2nd DLC on May 8, 2018, the Guardians now have a week to enjoy 6vs6 in the Crucible. One last time, all Iron Banner weapons from Season 2 will be available through reward packages or direct purchase with Iron Banner tokens.
Additionally, you also have the last chance in the coming 7 days to continue or complete your hunt for the Iron Banner, Crucible, and Strike ornaments of Season 2. Your current progress will remain until the Warmind release. After that, they will no longer be available.
Furthermore, according to Bungie, we can expect some new details about the DLC 2 during the ongoing week. So, the last week before the release of the next expansion should remain exciting.

Let’s see what else this current week has to offer.
Nightfall starting May 1st on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
This week, the Nightfall is “Savathûn’s Song”.

You have the chance this week to obtain the following exclusive Nightfall reward: the legendary auto rifle Pflichtgebunden.
No modifiers are active in the normal Nightfall!
In Prestige mode, you must activate the modifiers via the challenge cards. These cards drop for DLC owners in both the normal and Prestige modes of the Nightfall.
The following challenges need to be mastered:
- Unbroken: Complete the Nightfall with less than 3 deaths.
- The best defense: Shoot down 15 of its projectiles before defeating Savathûn’s Song.

Flashpoint, Raid Challenge, Treasure Maps, Meditations
The Flashpoint this week is on Mercury. You need to complete public events there.
Cayde-6 has Mercury treasure maps ready for you.
Ikora Rey has meditations for the missions “Cycle”, “Utopia”, and “A Garden World”.
This week’s Raid Challenge is about boss Calus.
Crucible
The Iron Banner is active in the weekly Crucible playlist.
