In Destiny 2, there was a new update tonight on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia – the hotfix 2.9.1.3. Find out everything important about the maintenance process on August 20, the server downtime, and the patch notes.
What is important today: Normally, Destiny 2 receives its updates almost always on Tuesdays, and that is no different in the Season 11. However, with hotfix 2.9.1.3, Bungie apparently did not want to wait until next week, so the new update is already available today, Thursday.
You can expect maintenance today as well as downtime – the servers will go offline for a while during the maintenance.
The hotfix 2.9.1.3 is now live, by the way. It will be automatically installed in-game before character selection and is 10.22 MB on PS4.
Maintenance on 20.08. – This is the procedure
The maintenance work will take place today exactly during prime time. But if everything goes according to plan, you will only need to take a brief forced break.
These times are important today:
- Maintenance begins at 18:00 CET.
- At 18:45, downtime begins, servers will go offline. All players will be removed from their respective activities and returned to the login screen.
- At 19:00, the server downtime ends, and the release of update 2.9.1.3 starts on all platforms and in all regions.
- After the update has been loaded (and copied), players can log back in to Destiny 2.
- The maintenance is expected to end at 21:00.
Please note: Until the end of the maintenance work at 21:00, there may be queues and login issues. Additionally, the Companion App and other API services may be impaired or unavailable.
What changes with update 2.9.1.3 in Destiny 2?
This is known: Bungie has already given a brief insight into what this update could entail. The hotfix is supposed to fix the faulty weekly event bounties from the Solstice of Heroes.
These do not grant Glimmer nor powerful loot. However, the in-game currency will be needed by some Guardians for cosmetics during the summer event.
