In Season 6 of Destiny 2, there will be new pinnacle weapons that guardians can earn. Bungie has now detailed the new guns.
Just days before the start of the new season, Bungie has finally revealed what guardians can expect in the coming months. Among other things, fans can look forward to three additional pinnacle weapons that can be earned starting March 5, expanding the current arsenal. We explain what these weapons are and what they can do.
These are the pinnacle weapons for Season 6
As in the Season of the Forge, there will be one pinnacle weapon each for the Vanguard, for PvP, and for the Gambit mode, which can be earned through their respective activities.
However, Bungie has unfortunately not yet revealed in detail what needs to be done to obtain the new guns.

What are pinnacle weapons? These are special, legendary guns that are among the best weapons Destiny 2 has to offer. They have special powerful perks that are almost as strong as those of exotic weapons.
The path to these weapons involves lengthy, complex quests. One must master numerous challenging tasks in various areas of the game to obtain these top weapons.
Pinnacle weapon of the Vanguard – Oxygen SG3
What kind of weapon is this? The new pinnacle weapon of the Vanguard is a precision scout rifle with solar damage.

What can the weapon do? The unique perk of the Oxygen SG3 is called Meganeura. This causes the Dragonfly perk (precision kills create an elemental damage explosion) to do more damage. This damage is increased based on the number of precision hits landed beforehand.
This new weapon aims to revitalize and effectively enhance the combination of scout rifles and the Dragonfly perk (Fireball in Destiny 1).
Pinnacle weapon of the Crucible – The Recluse
What kind of weapon is this? The new top weapon for the Crucible is a lightweight submachine gun with void damage.

What can the weapon do? Its special perk, Mastery, improves kills with any weapon for a short time, increasing the damage of The Recluse.
Submachine guns currently have a tough standing in Destiny 2, with few exceptions. Against shotguns, hand cannons, and even auto rifles, they often come up short at close range. With the new Mastery perk, this is set to change. The weapon should fit into any loadout and be competitive.
Pinnacle weapon for Gambit – 21% Delirium
What kind of weapon is this? The 21% Delirium is a rapid-fire machine gun with arc damage.

What can the weapon do? Its unique perk is called Kill-Tracker. This increases the damage of 21% Delirium with each kill, until the MG is stowed or reloaded.
This weapon is actually the first rapid-fire machine gun in Destiny 2. Moreover, it employs one of the new perks from Season 6, which is called Overflow, and can further expand the magazine size of the weapon.
What happens to the “old” pinnacle weapons? All previous pinnacle weapons from Season 5 as well as the Redrix Claymore, Luna’s Howl, and Not Forgotten can still be earned in Season 6.
What do you think of the new top weapons? Do you already have a favorite that you’re particularly looking forward to?
