On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, it will be time again: Lord Saladin returns to the Tower and kicks off the June Iron Banner. Under his strict gaze, players will once again be able to capture zones in a 6v6 format and compete against each other in the Crucible for a week.
In addition, players can continue the hunt for new weapons and ornaments from Season 3 Iron Banner – your progress will be retained throughout Season 3. This applies to the ornaments and the Iron Banner ranks.
When exactly does it start? And what loot can the Guardians expect? We have all the important details.

It will again be played in a 6v6 format.
- Start: Tuesday, June 19, at 7 PM
- End: Tuesday, June 26, at 7 PM
- Mode: Control
The power level advantages are disabled in the Iron Banner. However, this will change with the Forsaken expansion on September 4, 2018.
There is normal matchmaking. This time, the experience for solo players against groups should finally improve.

Requirements for Participation:
- You must have unlocked the Tower, i.e., completed the main campaign.
- You must be at least level 20.
- Visit Lord Saladin to start an Iron Banner quest, if you haven’t already.
- The Iron Banner has its own playlist in the Crucible overview that you can play.
With the Warmind expansion, the system for earning rewards in the Iron Banner event has been updated. Lord Saladin has had a similar reputation system to the Vanguard since the start of Season 3.

Players can now rank up by earning Iron Banner tokens through participation and exchanging them with the Iron Lord in the Tower. Each rank-up grants progress towards unlocking coveted rewards. The higher you rank up, the more gear is available for purchase.
By the way: Players who did not participate in the first Season 3 Iron Banner can redeem their tokens collected from Season 2. These have been retained and transferred to Season 3. So, those who have saved up a lot can push their Iron Banner rank a bit.
Since the start of Season 3 in Destiny 2, new weapons and armor ornaments can be earned in the Iron Banner.
The following weapons can be earned during Season 3:
- Energy Hand Cannon “Finite Impactor”
- Energy Auto Rifle “Dark Decision”
- Kinetic Sidearm “Allied Demand”
- Kinetic Submachine Gun “Multimach CCX”
- Sniper Rifle “Locked Finality”
- Rocket Launcher “Radiant Sphere”

Each ornament requires a certain progress in the Iron Banner or with Lord Saladin. Progress is counted account-wide. The following requirements apply to the ornaments.
- Class item: Reach rank 5 in the Iron Banner
- Leg armor: Defeat 100 enemies in the Iron Banner with your Super
- Chest armor: Defeat 100 enemies in the Iron Banner with power weapons
- Gauntlets: Complete 21 Iron Banner challenges
