In Destiny 2, the new raid Deep Stone Crypt starts today in Beyond Light. We will show you the start time and everything you can expect during the event around the World’s First.
What kind of raid is this? The Deep Stone Crypt is the very first raid that Destiny 2 opens for you as part of the Beyond Light expansion. There is a lot to do for you. A big World’s First race will turn 6 Guardians into legends.
When does Deep Stone Crypt start? Today, November 21, 2020, at 7:00 PM, the Deep Stone Crypt opens its gates. This corresponds to the conversion of 10 AM PST to our time zone.
Assuming everything goes according to plan. This is 11 days after the rocky launch of Beyond Light.
Deep Stone Crypt Opening – The Details
This is what Bungie says: The developers introduced the raid back in October via TWaB. In it, they explained some parameters under which the new raid will start. As you know, with the opening of a new raid, the starting signal for the “World’s First” race is also given.
And the competition is supposed to run even more fairly this time. This is achieved with a competition mode that brings all players to the same standard for the race.
- The competition mode is active in the raid itself for the first 24 hours after the opening of the raid
- Each encounter limits the level of all players to 20 levels below the recommended power
- The artifact power is disabled
- A power cap of 1,230 is the goal for your team for all fights – Anything above that will not give you advantages in combat
When will the winners be known? Many Guardians are eagerly following the race for the World’s First. However, the developers want to check even more carefully this time whether everything went as planned. Therefore, the official announcement of the “World’s First” title will come a bit later than usual. It is scheduled for Monday, November 23.
The Rewards for Deep Stone Crypt
This is what the winners get: The 6 Guardians who complete the raid first and secure the coveted title will receive a fat belt as a reward.
What else is in it for you? Even if you don’t become the first in the world to finish the raid, there is still a reward. Every Guardian who completes the raid in the first 24 hours after opening (as long as the competition mode is active) will unlock this special emblem.
Whoever clears the raid by December 1 at 6:00 PM will receive a code for the Bungie shop. With this, you will unlock the Deep Stone Crypt raid jacket for purchase:
Those who take their time and explore the last corners of the raid instead of rushing through will also be rewarded. Everyone who completes the Deep Stone Crypt raid will unlock this emblem:
In the raid, unique weapons and armor await, which can only be found there. Resourceful Guardians have also already spotted a new exotic weapon that is likely tied to the new raid.
Thus, the champion is starting: The largest Destiny streamer on Twitch, Gladd, belongs to the well-known clan Redeem. They have already secured several World’s Firsts for themselves.
Gladd briefly presents his loadout before the raid opens, with which he is starting:
He relies on the Warlock, but not the newly added Shadebinder, but the Dawnblade with the “Well of Radiance” super.
- He goes all in on the well, supported by the exotic armor Phoenix Protocol
- He also invests in 100 recovery and 100 intellect
- As weapons, he initially focuses on add control: a grenade launcher and either the Thunderlord or Xenophage (if stronger enemies appear)
- His mods provide the grenade launcher with ammunition and he uses the “Charged with Light” mechanic
Gladd notes, however, that this is just his starting loadout and he does not know what challenges await in the raid. It is important to be dynamic.
Are you excited about the new raid in Destiny 2? Are you trying to earn the World’s First title or would you rather take it easy and explore the new location? Feel free to share your opinion here at MeinMMO in the comments and exchange ideas with other Guardians.
