With Forsaken, Bungie has introduced new exotic armor pieces to Destiny 2 that can significantly ease the gameplay. We take a look at the best exotic armors for Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks that you can find since Forsaken.
New exotic armors with Forsaken: A total of twelve new armor pieces can be found by Guardians since the launch of the major autumn expansion Forsaken. Unfortunately, these coveted armor pieces are so rare that only a few players have had the chance to try them out.
Have you been lucky and found a new Exotic from Forsaken but don’t know what to do with it? We provide you with recommendations for each class on which Exotics to look out for and how to use them in detail.
The best exotic armors of the Titan
The Titan has turned into a superhero with Forsaken: Whether as Thor (Solar focus), Superman (Arc focus), or Captain America (Void focus), the Titan is still responsible for the “rough” stuff. He plunges into enemy hordes and mows down everything that comes in his way.

Even before Forsaken, the Titan had some strong Exotics to choose from. With the new expansion, you have access to even more fantastic toys.
The Heart of Inmost Light – Chest Armor
This is what the Heart of Inmost Light can do: This exotic chest armor massively increases your damage output if used correctly. This gem ensures that when you use an ability, the other two abilities regenerate faster and are also boosted for about 9 seconds. This means in detail:
- A boosted grenade deals about 30% more damage and regenerates 75% faster
- A boosted melee attack deals about 17% more damage and also regenerates 75% faster
- A boosted barricade has significantly more hit points and regenerates 75% faster

Furthermore, if used skillfully, the buff can stack up to 3 times. A double-boosted grenade then deals 69% more damage! You also get the buff when you use a non-charged melee attack.
This means you can keep the buff from the Heart of Inmost Light active permanently and therefore deal more damage all the time. Your ability regeneration is also permanently increased by 75%.

Think that’s all? No! You receive the buff from the chest armor even when using your super abilities:
- The upper and lower talent tree of the Striker can trigger the buff with a melee attack
- The Sentinel can generate the buff with all talent trees. Shield throw does not work
- The Solar Titan can only benefit from the buff in the upper talent tree
Which focus is the Heart of Inmost Light suitable for? A significant advantage of this chest armor is that you can play it with all Titan subclasses. You are particularly effective with the following talent trees:
- The upper talent tree of the Striker offers you two grenades at once for massive damage output. The shoulder charge also gives you grenade energy back faster. Combine that with the Heart of Inmost Light and you have a nearly divine combo.
- The lower talent tree of the Solar Titan benefits greatly from the improved regeneration of the chest armor in combination with Sunspots.
- The Sentinel also has fitting abilities in the middle talent tree for the armor.

Is the Heart of Inmost Light also suitable for the Crucible? Absolutely! The Striker’s flash grenade deals 150 damage points. If the buff from the chest armor is active, it’s already 195, resulting in an instant kill on all Guardians with resilience under 5. The increased ability regeneration also allows you to use this more frequently.
Ursa Furiosa – Gloves
This is what the exotic gloves Ursa Furiosa can do: If you’ve unlocked the new focus of the Sentinel class “Code of the Commander,” you should take a look at this exotic armor piece. For with active super and activated shield, you move faster.

However, the second effect of these gloves is much more crucial. For you regenerate super energy when fired upon your shield. In games against AI opponents, the effect is at best okay, but in the Crucible, you can drive your opponents to despair with these gloves.
This means that two shots from a shotgun on your shield are enough to completely recharge your super. In the weeks following the Forsaken release, voices grew louder demanding the banishment of Ursa Furiosa from the Crucible.
Okay in PvE, “broken” in PvP: It may seem strange that the gloves do not restore super energy nearly as effectively in AI matches as they do in the Crucible. Whether it is a bug is unknown. Bungie has not commented on this so far.

However, there are numerous reports from Guardians who were able to use their super three to four times in a row, just because opponents shot at their shield.
The tactic in the Crucible: “Don’t shoot, run!” Do you see a Sentinel Titan activating his super? Just run away. The shield absorbs practically everything—be it rockets, projectiles, or enemy super attacks. You can reduce the effectiveness of the gloves by not shooting a Sentinel Titan as long as his shield is up.

If you use the Ursa Furiosa gloves yourself, switch from shield throw mode to shield mode as soon as you are shot at. This can be done in fractions of a second and is extremely effective.
Which focus are the Ursa Furiosa suitable for? The gloves only make sense with a Sentinel Titan in conjunction with the Code of the Commander.
