In Destiny 2 Forsaken you can unlock new supers, new focuses, and thus new abilities. Here you will learn how to get the Seed of Light and the subclass alternatives for Titan, Hunter, and Warlock.
With the Forsaken expansion you can skill your Guardians with a total of 9 new super attacks – three for the Hunter, three for the Warlock, and three for the Titan. These super attacks are part of new subclass paths, each Void, Arc, and Solar focus receiving a new path.
These subclass paths are not immediately available at the Forsaken launch. You have to unlock them one by one.
How to get the new subclasses along with supers – Titan, Hunter, Warlock
Step 1: Complete the first mission of the Forsaken campaign. This is the prerequisite to receive the new supers.
Step 2: Return to the Tower and talk to Ikora Rey. She gives you the task of finding visions of light. The milestone is called “New Abilities.”
Step 3: Collect 100 visions of light. You can find them in adventures, lost sectors, strikes, and crucible matches, or when you defeat powerful enemies – those are foes with yellow and orange health bars.
Tip: If you play public events in the Tangled Shore, you will find the visions of light very quickly. Because there you will encounter many powerful enemies that spread visions of light across the ground. Collect these glowing particles. This quest step can be easily completed alongside the story.
Step 4: Once you have all the visions of light, a new quest step activates on Io – you must tackle this solo, recommended power is 380. On Io you can kill the Taken to free strange trees that you see in visions. Make sure to find and eliminate all the Taken around the trees. Only then does the quest continue. It leads you to a lost sector where Vex and Taken fight against each other. Kill them all.
Step 5: Once you have completed this, you will receive a Seed of Light. You can use this once to activate one of the three subclass paths of your Guardian.
Select a super (you unlock the remaining nodes of the new subclass path by defeating enemies with the new super and abilities) and test it against various enemies. At the glowing trees, you can recharge the super directly. Once all enemies are defeated, the quest is over and you have your new super.
How do I get more Seeds of Light to unlock the remaining supers?
Second Seed of Light: The second seed for the second new super has been found:
- For this, you must enter the Dreaming City and participate in the endgame activity “Blind Well.” Recommended power level is 540, so you should first skill your Guardians.
- You must complete rank-2 challenges in the Blind Well. To activate these, you need items that drop randomly or that you can buy from Petra. For this, you have to complete bounties for Petra.
- A Seed of Light can randomly drop in Tier-2 Blind Well matches.
3rd Seed of Light: After the first encounter in the Forsaken raid, you will receive the third seed. Recommended power level is 560. Additionally, if you hand in a Offering at the Oracle. But only if the Dreaming City is in its final curse phase.
All new supers at a glance
The new supers of the Hunters:
- With the Solar super Blade Barrage, Hunters can throw knives multiple times in the air.
- With the Void super Spectral Blades, Hunters become invisible and then reappear with deadly knives behind their enemies.
- With the Arc super Whirlwind Guard, Hunters can now also use their staff for defense and even reflect projectiles.
The new supers of the Warlocks:
- The super Well of Radiance allows the Solar Warlock to slam their Dawnblade into the ground, activating a wide aura that quickly heals and empowers allies.
- The super Nova Warp enables the Void Warlock to teleport multiple times over short distances, then explode in a void energy blast.
- With the super Chaos Reach Arc Warlocks can fire a long-reaching beam of energy that deals massive damage.
The new supers of the Titans:
- The Solar super Burning Maul creates a flaming two-handed hammer. The hammer can be swung around or slammed into the ground to create a short-range flaming tornado.
- The Void super Banner Shield creates a large, mobile barrier that blocks enemy projectiles but allows ally fire to pass through.
- With the Arc super Thundercrash the Arc Titan lifts off, turns into a rocket, and can dive into a group of enemies from a distance, dealing massive area damage.
