The drops of the two exclusive exotic weapons in the Black Armory of Destiny 2 used to depend on chance. That has now changed.
Which weapons are involved? The two exclusive weapons from the Black Armory are the Fusion Rifle Jötunn and the Bow Le Monarque. Especially the Jötunn is considered a very powerful weapon, but it is currently bugged, which led to its deactivation in the race for the World First Kill of the new raid from Bungie.
Until now, the weapons only dropped randomly upon completion of a powerful weapon frame from Ada-1 in certain forges of the Black Armory. This means that some unfortunate players have never received these exotics.
With the release of the Shadowkeep expansion, you can now obtain both weapons for sure, although it will take some time.
This is how you now acquire both exotics: Starting with Shadowkeep, the two exotic weapons are now available as quests, and you no longer have to rely on the whims of chance.
Go to the Tower to Ada-1. She will have two exotic quests for you called:
- “Giant’s Might” for Jötunn
- “Let Fly” for Le Monarque
The quests require you to forge 10 powerful weapon frames for each weapon. Additionally, you need to kill different types of enemies for both:
- For Jötunn, you need to take down Vex using fusion rifles
- For Le Monarque, it’s the Fallen that you must shoot with bows
It will take a few weeks to forge all the weapon frames, but at least the two exotics are no longer dependent on chance.
