Destiny 2 will experience a short server downtime today, Tuesday, March 29, to address known issues. Hotfix 4.0.0.5 is on the way. This also involves downtime on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Google Stadia. We will keep you updated on when the Destiny servers are unavailable today.
What you need to know today: The Destiny 2 player support is always working on known issues and regularly adds updates to the game to prevent those issues from disrupting gameplay. Today’s update will focus on Rahool’s destination materials, a devouring timer, and more.

8:00 PM: Bungie has released the patch notes. You can find them further down in the article.
7:00 PM: Destiny 2 has begun rolling out on all platforms and regions. Players can download the update immediately. The size for PC is 126.6 MB.
6:45 PM: Maintenance has started on time. Players will be removed from all activities.
Maintenance on 29.03. – All times and server downtime
These times are important today:
- At 6:00 PM German time, maintenance will begin on all platforms.
- From 6:45 PM the servers will go offline. You will be kicked from activities, and downtime will begin.
- Around 7:00 PM the servers are expected to come back online and Hotfix 4.0.0.5 should be available.
- By 8:00 PM the maintenance should be fully completed.
Also, keep in mind that third-party applications and also the official companion app may not be functioning correctly.
What changes with Hotfix 4.0.0.5 in Season 16
What today’s hotfix brings: Bungie communicates in the TWaB blog (This Week at Bungie) already a list of known issues that are to be fixed today. Unfortunately, once again nothing about the poor armor values of the NPCs is mentioned.
But at least a problem has already been resolved in advance which caused you to be able to repeatedly unlock your Super subclasses Arc and Solar, as Bungie stated on Twitter.
This is currently on Bungie’s hotfix list:
- Wearing Osmiomancy gloves results in losing a grenade charge when dying.
- The devouring timer is inconsistent when killing multiple enemies at once or just one enemy.
- Players on Xbox experience crashes more frequently than usual.
- There is no rotation for Rahool’s planetary materials.
Additionally, players have reported the following issues:
- The charge banners in the activity “Urquell” on Grandmaster and in the raid “Swear of the Student” do not always work properly. Sometimes it takes a while for players to be able to recharge.
- In the activity “Vox Obscura” on Grandmaster there are bugs where players can fall through the map with the tank and have to start over.
- The raid exotic “Eyes of Tomorrow” can, in some cases, track the holder of the weapon as a target and fire two homing rockets at them, resulting in death.
If you also notice problems in the game, the recommendation is to report them directly via the official Bungie Help Forum to raise awareness.
