Once again, there is trouble surrounding a cosmetic Iron Banner bundle in the Cash Shop of Destiny 2. The weapon ornament from the €10 package disappears for many Guardians. Bungie has now removed the package from the Eververse and is already working on a solution.
Just recently, Bungie drew the ire of numerous fans with the Iron Banner gesture “Salute of the Lords”. The fact that this gesture was exclusively tied to the Eververse and could only be purchased with real money was met with little appreciation and understanding among the Guardians.
A bug in the current Iron Banner bundle of the Eververse is causing trouble again. Bungie has already reacted and is working on a solution.
Wolf’s Face Ornament Bugged – Bungie Removes Iron Banner Bundle
New Iron Banner Bundle in the Cash Shop: In line with the second Iron Banner of Season 3, there was an appropriate bundle in the Eververse. The centerpiece of the package this time is the Wolf’s Face ornament for the grenade launcher Howl of the Lion in the Iron Banner style. This bundle is also tied to the Eververse and costs nearly €10.
The Problem: After purchasing the bundle, numerous fans found that the ornament could not be equipped in some cases despite having purchased it, or it completely disappears.
If you switch the ornament on Howl of the Lion, it may still be displayed in the inventory or in the vault for some fans, but not in the ornament slot of the weapon. For others, it disappears entirely. Only in the Eververse does it state that the bundle can no longer be purchased because you already own it. It is also indicated there that the ornament is already in the collection.
Clearly, this is a bug.
Bungie Has Already Addressed the Issue: Bungie quickly reacted and spoke on Twitter. It was initially stated that they were looking into the increasing reports. Shortly thereafter, the studio announced that they would remove the Iron Banner bundle from the Eververse until the problem is fixed.
What is the solution for affected players? Affected purchasers of the bundle will receive this ornament back once the bug is fixed with a patch.
What does the community say? Numerous fans are angry. Not only does the fact cause discontent that thematic cosmetics are once again tied to the Cash Shop instead of being earnable through the Iron Banner itself, many fans are upset that Bungie seems unable to get a handle on the bugs.
While the community now expects a quick response from the developers — but only because it involves the Cash Shop and thus money. Bugs like those with Nightfall loot, however, take much longer. This is not particularly conducive to the mood.
