Mechanic Trick Sleeves

The first exotic gloves on our list are the Mechanic Trick Sleeves and provide the following bonus:

• Increases reload speed for pistols and the speed of preparing the weapon

We won’t provide a general recommendation here. Feel free to try the Mechanic Trick Sleeves with the Rat King. You can then switch to a more useful exotic gear afterwards.

Because: The Trick Sleeves are among the weakest Exotics in the entire game, as they only enhance one weapon category that is already very good in terms of reload speed and weapon readiness speed. We are curious if Bungie will strengthen the Trick Sleeves in future patches.

Ahamkara’s Spine

The exotic gloves Ahamkara’s Spine come with the following intrinsic perk:

• Extends the duration of the tripmine and marks enemies taking damage from it

The following build is recommended for Ahamkara’s Spine:

• Focus – Gunslinger Hunter
• Build – Any
• Exotic Weapon – MIDA Multi-Tool

The gloves are mainly intended for PvP, as you will kill the enemies faster in PvE content and do not need to lay traps. Unfortunately, tripmines are now a shadow of their former selves. Furthermore, the Gunslinger has no options to reduce his grenade cooldown, further limiting the utility of the gloves.

We recommend not using the gloves as they are very situational. However, Bungie may improve the utility of the gloves in future updates.
