Last night, on November 28, the big surprise came: Bungie canceled the final livestream for Curse of Osiris.
Originally, a fashion show for the new gear from Curse of Osiris was supposed to take place today, Wednesday. But that won’t happen. Instead, a detailed blog post from Luke Smith and Mark Noseworthy, the minds behind Destiny 2, will be released, addressing important system changes to Destiny 2.
Information is promised on:
- The item economy: How are the vendors changing, how will players acquire their items in the future? What will happen with Legendary shards and tokens?
- The rewards system: a new rewards system for weapons and armor
- Gameplay updates
- and more
Furthermore, Smith and Noseworthy will address criticism from the community that has been voiced since the launch.
DeeJ confirms: Today will bring concrete promises and release dates
According to Bungie, today “high-priority info” will be released. They will discuss the future goals they have for Destiny 2. Bungie will also explain how they will respond to the feedback – with several game updates in the coming weeks.
Many players skeptically noted that this blog post would likely only contain general “fluff,” merely deferrals without much relevance. However, that shouldn’t be the case, writes community manager DeeJ on Twitter: Today there will be concrete promises and release dates.
In the last hours, DeeJ has been more talkative and transparent than ever before. He tweeted all night (our time), responded to community questions and criticism, and provided an answer as to why he can write “unleashed” only now.
After emphasizing that all opinions in the community matter and that Bungie receives everything, he answered over 30 community questions. Here is an overview of the most interesting statements:
