For weeks and months, players have been crafting the craziest theories about when we will see the next trailer for GTA 6. Even now, there is another date that fans hope for. The latest theory even seems surprisingly logical – at least halfway.
What is this new theory? The latest theory regarding the second trailer of GTA 6 is based on two pillars. The first part reveals to us why the trailer could be coming soon. The second part gives us a date when the trailer is supposed to be released according to fans.
The possible date for the new trailer is based on the fact that Take-Two Interactive has a quarterly earnings call on February 6, 2025 (via take2games). Rockstar Games, the studio behind GTA 6, is a subsidiary of Take-Two. The thought now is that the second trailer will be released before the earnings call (via X.com).
In the second part of the theory, the community discovered some numbers in an image that Rockstar Games posted about GTA Online on January 16, 2025. These numbers add up to 30, which is why January 30 was chosen as a possible release date for the trailer.
Even in December 2024, some fans calculated numbers from images and crafted an absurd theory about the release of the second trailer, which obviously turned out to be wrong.
What does the rest of the community say about the theory? On X.com, some users express annoyance that there is once again a theory about the second trailer. The general sentiment in the comments is “not again” and “give it up.” Some users also ask whether they have learned nothing from the last theory.
On Reddit, there are some comments suggesting a possible connection between the earnings call and the December theory, which centered around the number 27. The community believed the trailer would be released on December 27. Now the thought arises: What if the 2.7. was meant instead, with the trailer coming the day after the earnings call?

How realistic is the theory? Right off the bat: This whole calculation with the numbers in images is complete nonsense and was already wrong in December. It is pretty sure not an indication that the trailer comes on January 30.
The connection to the earnings call, on the other hand, is indeed plausible, as these meetings are also directed at investors. If the trailer is released before the earnings call and gathers millions of views, is addressed by the entire gaming press and various YouTubers or streamers, Take-Two can certainly utilize this in investor discussions.
