The TV series based on the MMO shooter Defiance will also experience a third season on the Syfy channel. The plot is intensifying, the status quo is over, and things are heating up in the MMO as well.
Defiance is not only a free-to-play MMO shooter from Trion Worlds but also a science fiction series on the Canadian Syfy network. And as it goes with series: they tend to get canceled quickly.
Defiance, the MMO, has already emotionally and mentally prepared for this and stated, it can continue to exist even without the series. After all, it mostly has to anyway, since the series is only aired for a few months each year. However, the creators of Defiance would prefer if the series would be continued. Because there, the storyline could be told more intricately and sensitively advanced, while in the MMO they are more responsible for the action.
Good news for all Defiance fans: Syfy has renewed the series, and it is going into the third season.
