Trion Worlds planned to hold a large beta test of the upcoming online shooter Defiance 2050, which was supposed to take place on all platforms. Players on PS4 and Xbox One will have to wait longer now. However, the PC beta for Defiance 2050 is taking place, and we at Mein MMO still have keys.
From April 20 to 22, a beta test of Defiance 2050 will take place. It was planned for it to be conducted on PC as well as Xbox One and PS4. However, this will not happen, as the developers have communicated.
Only PC players will be able to fire the first shots in the game this coming weekend.
Therefore, players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One have to wait for Defiance 2050
If you own an Xbox One or a PS4, unfortunately, you cannot participate in Defiance 2050 yet.
Trion Worlds explains that these versions still need further optimization, and therefore the beta on consoles will have to take place at a later date. There is still no date set. The developers want to get in touch on this as soon as they know the date.
PC players get the first look at the remake
This is interesting because Defiance 2050 is primarily targeting console players as a sort of reboot of the original game. With the remake, Trion aims to reach those who play on PS4 and Xbox One, as the original is not available on those consoles. However, these players will have to wait longer. Meanwhile, PC fans now have the opportunity to see what has changed in the new version. This includes:
- A new leveling system
- Significant changes to the gameplay
- Optimizations for consoles
- Improved graphics
- New items
