The interest in New World is currently higher than it has been in a long time. But what can fans expect after the current season 10? Data miners have now found new hints of an exciting mode.
What kind of mode is this? On Reddit, the discovery by a data miner is making the rounds regarding a possible battle royale mode for New World. The goal of the new PvP content: to be the last survivor. What else can be gleaned from the discovery:
- Players start with a basic equipment set of sword, shield, bow, and standard gear.
- By finding loot chests and defeating other players, one can obtain better equipment. The more dangerous the location of the chest, the better the items. Additionally, buffs can be found.
- Before the start of the match, players have 20 to 30 seconds to reach their desired starting position.
- 32 players participate in the mode.
- The duration of a match is expected to be around 20 minutes.
- There is supposed to be a ring of death that closes in 5 stages.
- The later the death in a match, the better the reward at the end.
Many of these parameters remind of major battle royale predecessors such as Fortnite or PUBG, which have enjoyed immense popularity for many years.
Important: This is a purported discovery by data miners that has not yet been officially confirmed. And even if the battle royale concept is real, it does not mean that the mode will appear in exactly this form.

How does the community react to the discovery? Although the past PvP-focused seasons have not been particularly successful, many players are excited about the idea of a battle royale mode for New World. Here’s a selection:
- Meekin93 writes on Reddit: “I think this would work because New World focuses on action combat. Just the possibility to play another form of PvP would be a welcome change for some people.”
- Neither_Magazine_958 is completely thrilled on Reddit: “No way, this can’t be true! As a relatively new player, I’ve always wanted this, but I never thought it would actually become a reality.”
- K4hid praises the developers on Reddit: “As an old player who just came back, I have to say that the new management seems to be doing a great job. From a mode like Capture the Flag to Battle Royale, along with new content, zones, and system overhauls – they seem very active and want to bring more variety and activities to the game, which is great.”
Others would wish for another mode inspired by Guild Wars 2 or Dark Age of Camelot.

A separate PvP map with 3 sides, fortresses to conquer, and plenty of action. That would fit perfectly with the game and give everyone a sense of war.”
