The developers of Crimson Desert continue to turn community feedback into adjustments for the open-world adventure. Now there’s a preview of the next updates.
What is known about the next updates? Based on player feedback, the developers want to gradually provide a whole series of improvements for Crimson Desert. The updates are set to be released from April to June. You can find the highlighted new features below:
- Crimson Desert will receive difficulty levels Easy, Normal, and Hard.
- The playable characters Damiane and Oongka will receive new skills that correspond to Kliff’s power skills.
- The camp will be expanded with a food storage, a wardrobe for your equipment, a resource storage, and a collection area for quest items, recipes, and similar items.
- There will be an option to hide the weapons on the characters’ backs. Additionally, new outfits for characters will be introduced.
- More mounts and pets will be added. Furthermore, special armor for non-horses is planned.
- Players can challenge already defeated bosses again if desired.
- The enemy factions fight to attack and reclaim liberated regions again.
- The interface, controls, and draw distance will be further optimized.
- The developers want to release the game’s soundtrack for free on Steam and other platforms.
By the way: Like the previous updates, the upcoming patches will also be available for free to all owners of Crimson Desert.

New Content and Features
■ Boss Revenge
The powerful bosses you encountered in Crimson Desert are waiting to challenge you again. With Boss Revenge, you have the opportunity to face any boss again to test how much you’ve grown and to further refine your combat style through different strategies and approaches.
■ Renewed Blockades
Peace is fleeting, and darkness does not recede so easily. Remaining enemies are waiting for their chance to reclaim liberated places. Drive out the forces that have occupied these places again and prove the strength of the Graymanes once more.
■ Difficulty Levels
A function for difficulty levels is being added so that everyone, from novices to experienced Graymanes, can enjoy the adventure at the level that suits them best. You will be able to choose between Easy, Normal, and Hard levels.
In addition, we are working on more content that focuses on combat. So stay tuned.
Improvements to Character Gameplay
■ New Skills for Damiane and Oongka
We understand your feedback regarding Damiane and Oongka and know that they need skills comparable to “Power Fist” and “Might of Axioms.” To implement this, both characters will receive new skills that are on par with these skills.
■ Hide Back Weapons
A new option will be added that allows you to hide the weapons on your character’s back. This will prevent immersion in battle from being disrupted by certain pieces of equipment carried on the back.
■ Addition of New Outfits
New outfits for the characters will be added.
Additionally, you will be able to wear some outfits that were previously only available for sale or donation in the future.
Improved Comfort Functions and Additional Features
■ New Specialized Storages
– Food Storage: We plan to introduce a new food storage where you can directly take ingredients for cooking. When preparing dishes, you can then access ingredients from both your food storage and your inventory.
– Wardrobe: A new storage for clothing will be added where you can store headgear, armors, gloves, footwear, and capes.
– Material Storage: A new storage for collectible items will be added, from which you can directly take items for crafting and refining. This storage can hold various crafting materials, including insects, stones, ores, and more.
– Collection Storage: A storage for quest items will be added where you can safely keep the souvenirs from your adventure as well as your carefully collected recipes.
■ Pets & Mounts
New pets and mounts that can be summoned will be added. Furthermore, we plan to add special armor for other mounts in addition to the existing horse saddles.
Systems and Graphics
■ UI Improvements
To enhance readability, an option for adjusting minimum font size will be added. Since we offer our service in 14 languages, fully optimizing for all languages will take some time. However, to make your gaming experience as smooth as possible, this feature will be implemented as a priority. Additionally, we plan to continuously optimize various UI elements and comfort features such as the world map, inventory, and housing content.
■ Control Improvement
We review every single piece of feedback regarding the controls that you send us very carefully. To provide you with an even better gaming experience, we will introduce a feature for customizing certain buttons for gamepads. Additionally, we will expand the customization options for keyboard and mouse to further enhance usability.
■ Improvement of Draw Distance
To allow you to enjoy the beauty of Pywel’s landscapes even more intensely, we are working on making the rendering of distant backgrounds even more realistic. Please note that the patch may take up more space. The reason for this is improvements in the rendering of distant landscapes and rendering quality under various conditions. Additionally, a free soundtrack DLC will be added on Steam so that you can enjoy the Crimson Desert OST at various places. The official soundtrack will also be released on common global music platforms. We hope you are looking forward to it.
