There is new gameplay from Crimson Desert on the PS5, but these are 15 short videos. MeinMMO explains what information you get when you piece together the puzzle from the videos.
What was shown? In the official PlayStation Blog from March 5, 2026, more information about the PS5 version was released. Phil Hornshaw, who wrote the post, emphasizes that he was able to play for about 4 hours. This comes shortly after the marketing chief stated that they do not want to hide the PS5 version.
The problem is: You see a total of 15 short videos, but it is not really clear whether this is actually gameplay from the PS5. Overall, you get about 3 minutes of fragmented gameplay.

What exactly do you see?
- In the short video snippets, you see the protagonist Kliff riding across the map, beating up enemies, or solving technical puzzles.
- In one snippet, Kliff saves a person who is about to fall off a cliff.
- In another scene, the protagonist fights a boss enemy, and in another scene, he rides over a bridge.
What stands out is: In several scenes, you can observe the high draw distance. You can also see the dense vegetation moving in the wind. However, in some scenes, you can also see that particularly small detail shadows only load when you get closer, such as at fences or lanterns.
The problem is that you don’t see clearly whether it is the PS5: The controller glyphs officially indicate the PS5/PlayStation, but they also appear when connecting a DualSense to a PC.
What is not shown? Reliable information on performance. The problem is that it really consists only of fragments. You do not get a reliable picture of the performance, and the performance is not commented on in any way by the tester. What is also missing is a clear indication that the gameplay was really recorded on a PS5 console. Because in such cases, there is often a note like “Captured on PS5 Pro” in the video.
