The developers of the Pokémon MMO TemTem presented their new game on Steam in the evening. This strongly resembles Palworld and gives players entirely new opportunities to interact with their TemTems.
What kind of game is this? TemTem Pioneers is a mix of survival, creature collector, and action RPG and strongly resembles Palword from its first trailer. Players will be able to gather resources, build their own base, protect it from raids, and craft many items.
At the same time, there are over 200 different TemTems, which are probably already known from the MMO spin-off and can be leveled and evolved. In battle, you assume the role of a TemTem and use various abilities and combos to take down even large bosses.
The TemTem universe is already known from the MMO, which resembles Pokémon. The new title is a spin-off of it and has immediately captured the interest of fans.

€90,000 in 8 hours
How did the fans react to the new title? TemTem has already made a name for itself with its MMO and has gained some fans. This is also reflected in the Kickstarter campaign for the new spin-off. There, the requested €90,000 was reached in just 8 hours. The developers from Spain seemingly missed the rush for their title and only saw the amount the next morning.
At the time of this article (9 AM on April 10, 2026), the donation counter is already at nearly €110,000 and is on track for the first stretch goal. Here, players can unlock the new biome “Crystal Biome,” which will likely also unlock the “Crystal Tem” monsters.
Meanwhile, in the comments on Kickstarter, fans are expressing their excitement about the project and many also praise the work on the predecessor.
What about Palworld? TemTem Pioneers is clearly oriented towards Palworld. The colorful mix of open-world, creature collector, and survival action game is unmistakable. However, the developers of Palworld hold no grudges against TemTem Pioneers; on the contrary.
On X.com, Bucky, the community manager of Palworld, speaks out. He explains there that they wish “only the best” for TemTem and their new game. At the same time, he addresses the accusations that TemTem is just a copy of Palworld.
Here he says that the developers of Palworld think the game looks good and they are looking forward to being able to play it soon.
When does TemTem Pioneers launch? However, it will likely still take a while until the release of TemTem Pioneers. Although there is no date to be found on Steam, the rewards on Kickstarter are expected to be delivered in December 2028. Whether the planned alpha for supporters on Kickstarter will start earlier is still uncertain.
TemTem Pioneers can impress fans at first glance and brings a well-known brand with it. However, the late release could still become a problem, especially if Palworld releases its full version.
