At the Ubisoft Forward during the E3 2021, the MMO Riders Republic (PC, PS, Xbox) was announced. It revolves around extreme sports played out in a large open world. Players can experience mountain biking, skiing, and many other sports together. The game is set to be released in September 2021.
What kind of game is this? Riders Republic is an MMO where up to 50 players can move together in an open world. There are hubs for customizing your characters and showcasing your achievements, as well as various challenges you can take on.
The game focuses on 5 main activities:
- Bicycle Racing
- Snowboarding
- Skateboarding
- Paragliding
- Rocket Wingsuits, which are especially fast-paced
The open world is inspired by real national parks in the USA, for which the development team from Ubisoft Annecy ventured into nature. As such, it is designed to be particularly realistic and beautiful.
When will the game be released? During the Ubisoft Forward, the release was announced for September 2, 2021. You can already pre-order the game from Ubisoft.

For which platforms will Riders Republic be released? Riders Republic will be available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Stadia. Crossplay is also expected.
Social MMO with Many Competitive Aspects
This is how the game works: In Riders Republic, you create a character that you can fully design yourself. With this character, you can enter various hubs and participate in sports there. You should also be able to play together with friends.
The focus should be heavily on the social component. In addition to races and events, there seems to be simply the opportunity to explore and enjoy the open world.
What Does Riders Republic Offer?
- A career mode where you can unlock milestones and new competitions
- There is a 6v6 team competition mode where points are earned. You earn these by performing special tricks
- In Free-for-All, 12 players compete against each other
- In versus mode, you can play against friends
- In the City Playground, you can move freely, perform tricks, and interact with other players
Through the career and PvP content, you can unlock new gear, outfits, and cosmetic items.
Additionally, the Gold and Ultimate Editions of Riders Republic come with the Year 1 Pass. This is expected to include a BMX add-on. New content is already planned.
