You can now challenge Duraludon in Pokémon GO for the first time. To ensure the battle is successful, we have compiled the best counters for you.
When is the monster available in Pokémon GO? Duraludon will be available from September 30, 2025, to Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in 4-star Dyna-Raids in Pokémon GO. It is part of the Steel Skyscrapers event.
What weaknesses does the monster have? The Pokémon has Steel and Dragon types. Because of this combination, it is weak against Fighting and Ground type attacks.
With these counters, the battle against Duraludon will be successful
What are the best attackers? The best attackers to deal maximum damage to Duraludon during the Dynamax phases are monsters with Fighting and Ground type attacks. If you have the opportunity, you should definitely use Gigantamax Machamp.
Gigantamax Machamp is currently the strongest Fighting type Pokémon. All other options, which you can find in the following table, are less effective than Gigantamax Machamp.

What defenders are recommended? You use defender Pokémon to tank Duraludon’s attacks until your Dynameter is full, and you can switch to your attacker.
As defenders, Zamazenta (Crowned Shield) and Dynamax Blissey are particularly recommended. Zamazenta has resistance against all attacks that Duraludon can perform. Blissey generally has high defense and HP values. If you can, you should rely on one of these monsters.

Can Duraludon be defeated solo? Duraludon has 2 out of 3 possible charge moves. They are Flash Cannon, Dragon Claw, and Hyper Beam. If it does not have the charge move Hyper Beam and you have a very good team with sufficiently high levels and trained Dynamax moves, you can defeat Duraludon solo with some luck.
For this, you can use a Gigantamax Machamp and 2 Dynamax Blissey. Fill your Dynameter with Blissey and switch to Machamp during the Dynamax phase. Then switch it out and use Blissey again to repeat the process.
If you want to be sure, you should count on more trainers. Depending on how good your teams are, you should adjust the number of trainers. If you are 3 or 4 trainers with weak teams, think about the typical allocation in tough Dynamax battles of attackers, defenders, and healers.
While 1 – 2 trainers act as attackers, there should be one trainer who uses shields as a defender and one trainer who takes care of healing.
