With “The Frozen North,” not only is the first expansion for Conan Exiles expected, but also the release on Xbox One. In a well over an hour-long stream, Community Manager Jens Erik and Creative Director Joel Bylos showcased first in-game footage for Xbox One.
Conan Exiles is expected to run on Xbox with “relatively stable” 30 FPS and 900p native resolution. The detail level is supposed to correspond roughly to the “Medium” setting on PC. The framerate (is still) not fully stable, as there may be drops in some areas. The team is working on fixing these.
The Comparison: Xbox and PC
In response to our question about whether there are significant differences between the PC and console versions, Erik replied: “They will have the same updates and mechanics.”
This means that Conan Exiles will play the same on both platforms – only, you probably won’t be able to customize your character on Xbox.
The Xbox version will also get official PvE and PvP servers, offered in “fast” and “normal” variants. Private servers can also be rented.

Meet Friends from Distant Platforms!
Players who want to play with friends on PC can also rejoice: There is consideration to enable cross-platform play. However, when exactly this feature is planned is still unknown. It will likely come at the earliest with the release of the game and the exit from Early Access status in early 2018.
It should be noted that it will still take several months before the game leaves its pre-release phase. During this time, a lot can and will change.

“The Frozen North” will be released on August 16, 2017, the same day Conan Exiles will be released on Xbox.
