The survival MMO Conan Exiles is getting a major expansion, Isle of Siptah, that brings a lot of new content. It has been in Early Access for several months now, but the official release date has finally been set. Additionally, the developer Funcom had another surprise in store.
When is Isle of Siptah coming out? The release of the expansion for Conan Exiles is planned for May 27. This was announced during the Twitch Gaming Show. Isle of Siptah will then be released simultaneously for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
As of September 15, the expansion started in Early Access, but initially did not receive a good response. Since then, there have been continuous improvements, which MeinMMO author Benedict Grothaus has summarized in detail in an article: We played the new DLC for Conan Exiles and it is better than expected.
What else was announced? In addition to the new expansion, there was also an announcement about the base game of Conan Exiles. It is set to become part of the Xbox Game Pass in the future.

What does Isle of Siptah offer? The main feature of the expansion is the huge new map where you can unleash your creativity. Inside, you can expect:
- A storm event that repeatedly originates from the center of the map and causes special monsters to appear
- The floods, a special event that opens portals and allows people to stream onto the map, whom you can then enslave
- The Vaults, a type of dungeon with special rewards
- New building sets, weapons, armor, and mount options
Initially, the new map was very empty, but with patch 2.4, several criticisms were addressed, including new NPC camps and 3 NPC factions vying for dominance.
Additionally, new workbenches, improved Vaults, and attacks that could be executed while sprinting were introduced. There is also expected to be an offline mode for single players in the future.
These many changes make Isle of Siptah significantly more interesting for many. On May 27, we will find out how well the new expansion is received.
