Last Epoch has revealed its new season mechanic and shown players what to expect in the game’s endgame on Steam after the big update. Fans are excited.
What have the developers announced? In their announcement on LastEpoch.com, the developers introduced the new season mechanic for the endgame of Last Epoch. In this, players enter two new special zones: tombs and cemeteries, where they will find not only many monsters but also strange cocoons. When the cocoons are opened, captured souls are released, occupying nearby enemies and making them stronger and more dangerous.
Defeating these enhanced enemies causes them to drop the new currency, Memory Amber. With the new currency, players can rise in rank with the new faction “Woven” and purchase new special missions, known as Woven Echoes. Additionally, the currency is used to unlock bonuses in the Weaver Tree.
The Woven Echoes are used to customize the endgame according to personal preferences. It is possible to ensure more bosses, more items, or rare items. At the end of the special missions, there is an enchantment altar that can enchant your idols (which are special passive items). This makes your character stronger with each run.
Additionally, the developers have prepared new content, new bosses, and new unique items that can be earned in the new season mechanic.

Players celebrate a new pet alongside new mechanics
How are fans reacting to the announcement? Fans are excited about the developers’ announcement. While many are eyeing the new support packages which also offer a capybara as a pet, the new mechanics are also well-received by players.
On Reddit, user TeepEU writes: “The Weaver Tree looks really cool and I welcome more Weaver’s Will items.” User vonflare responds: “Yes, ‘Weaver’s Will’ is a pretty fun mechanic. I wonder if the tombs/cemeteries will have higher drop rates for ‘Weaver’s Will’ items…”
Developer ehg_trasochi chimes in on Reddit, directly stating: “They will, both from enemies and from reward chests.”
The Weaver’s Will mechanic is one of the most important mechanics in Last Epoch, where certain items can become stronger and more powerful by defeating enemies, and the items even receive additional bonuses. The developers want to introduce even more items with these abilities into the game.
In addition to the excitement for the new mechanics, many comments revolve around the capybara pet that players can purchase at the start of the new season on April 17.
Fans of Path of Exile 2 are also looking forward to Last Epoch. After the season launch for the ARPG went worse than planned, the competition offers an attractive alternative for genre fans. They are also surprised by the five Twitch drops that the developers are distributing as rewards.
